    Nice.

On a regular drive (about 40 miles) and no towing on a fall 55* day in my '13 Sequoia, the transmission pan temperature reached 214* and the torque converter reached 234* Needless to say, I am in the process of gathering all material to install a trans cooler. If you got those temps on a 108* day, I should definitely see some improvements.

What did you use to cut the slits in the threads?

I have used a dremel tool with a cutting disc. Any kind of cutting tool should work fine. The edge of a square file I’d imagine would be fine as well.

I used the "D" with Tow Haul on and also ran a bit without it. After installing the cooler I haven't seen temps over 190 degrees. Planning on towing again in a few weeks so that will be a good test.

Yep, I ordered my parts as soon as the sale started (around 2am). Total was $350 for everything. I will be taking advantage for some other OEM parts, too.

Good timing on your part, can’t beat $350.

I had received an email from Toyota weeks ago talking about the 25% off deal, so I was waiting. They seem to have this deal every year around this time. I was so glad to have found your thread because I was going to order the cooler from the other company, but the kit has been on back order for awhile. I looked up the OEM parts online and noticed the cost was not so bad for the bulk of the parts for the kit. I had started thinking how to build the system myself and found this thread and it was a wrap. As a a bonus, I will be saving more than 1/2 the cost for the system doing it this way.

    Thanks...Al

Just an FYI to 2nd Gen Sequoia owners, at least up to 2013. I can't speak on some of the newer 2nd gen models but I assume the hood latch maybe the same. You can't relocate the horn to the location identified in the install instructions because the hood latch on our vehicles is on the hood and not the center bracket like the Tundra in the install photos and the horn will interfere with the hood latch if placed in the location identified in the install instructions. I had to place the horn at the bottom of the hood support bracket just in front and below the AC condenser fan on the driver side.

I used the last of the steel that I have for these, I got (4) brackets out of it and they are back from powder coat. I’m taking a break as I’ve been so busy with other things. I have reduced the cost on the last (4) kits to $65 shipped each with the mounting hardware. I have enough AN fittings for two kits, add $10 for the pair of fittings.

If you’d like one send me a message.

    I have one left:

2019 - 2021 Tundra bracket. $65 shipped with the bracket mounting hardware. I believe I have a 90 degree AN fitting I can toss in and likely a 45 degree AN fitting if someone wanted to use that vs buying the other 90 degree fitting.

To make things interesting - I’m will to make a trade for the last bracket. If that interests anyone, send me a PM with your offering.

Ha, as wonderful as it looks I think it’s better off in the warmer climates.
