Hey guys, just got my UOA on my trans fluid. 41k miles on the fluid. I ran Schaeffers 204SAT all trans supreme. Which is slightly thicker in viscosity than what should be used, but didn't hurt anything. I called Schaeffers whenever I realized I used the wrong fluid, and they said I should be good to go if everything was shifting good, so I kept it in. I replaced it with 205A, ill be posting another report in 50k miles on the 205A. Screenshot_20210507-172119_Acrobat for Samsung.jpg

Did you do a complete fluid replacement to start with or just drain/fill?

I replaced around 14qts when I put the 204sat in. And I put in around 16qts when I replaced that with 205A. I drain it from the cooler return line on the transmission about 2qts at a time, refill 2qts, and repeat.

All wear metals, except copper, are below Blackstone's AB60 reference sample. That's good, but the copper is worth watching to see if it continues. Not necessarily a bad sign, but higher than reference.

I would want more explanation of Boron, Calcium, and Phosphorus purpose in transmission fluid. Those are probably additives. The levels are significantly higher than reference, and represents Shaeffer's formula.

Do you use a funnel and hose to refill or a pump?

They seem to be good additives. Schaeffers always has a really robust additive package. I love all their products. The fact that the fluid still has alot of additives after towing heavy and driving hard is great. I'll be doing a uoa on the rear diff next.

I found this link about oil additives which was helpful.

@JohnLakeman after doing more research into the copper levels, it is most likely from the transmission cooler. I've read that the copper in the cooler can leach into the fluid, which may explain it
