Decided to get a utility trailer. I see a rectangular plastic housing to the left of my license plate. Cover doesn't come off and didn't want to break the plastic. Question is: is trailer wiring behind that plastic? thanks.

I'll take a pic tomorrow. It's a 2015 SR5. From under, I see wires and a round plug. I presume it's for a trailer, but it's the plastic housing is flimsy. I well known by my wife to just plowing ahead without a game plan. Experienced help is appreciated. Thanks for replying.

That is your trailer connection. You should be able to use your fingers and it will open up (hinged side in the middle) , plug in your trailer.
