what are the lookouts on a trade like this?

my current sr5 is a 2wd and that is the main reason I am wanting to upgrade

they have almost the same milage, the pro has a couple hundred miles less right under 30k so still under factory warranty. when checking the carfax it does look like the vehicle had a little fender bender sometime but but from the looks of the pictures it wasn't too significant.

I'm just hoping this isn't a bait and switch because the truck is 500 miles from me and I am planning to drive up to see it sometime this week.

    thanks in advance

You're trading that nice 2017 SR5 QSand for a Pro? A year older truck with questions on the CarFax? After putting all that money into the SR5...? What is the mystique about these Pros?...I don't get it.

its more of the 4wd aspect. that plus being a pro I feel it will hold its value a lot better over time.

the pro I'm trading for is also a QS :D

when I talked to my local dealership they were more interested in putting me into a 2019, I don't necessarily need it to be a pro but am more looking for a 4x4 no older than 2016 for around 40k

you are going to get hit hard on the trade in so what i would do is attempt to sell your truck outright instead of trading it in. If you are going to trade it in then i would search out a truck with a carfax.

I’d pass on the Pro. You want something to hold value but that’s already been in a recorded accident and you can’t see in person without driving 10 hours. The tundra holds value regardless. Go for that Platinum.

I have a 2016 Pro and the beefy shocks are incredibly stiff. I have a bad back and actually drive my sequoia to work. I have actually priced out the cost to change the shocks out. That, or load it up with overland gear to make the weight match the shocks.

Decided to pass on the pro, went to look at the platinum which was very nice but the deal break was they only offered me 28000 for my 2017 SR5! I was a bit shock considering I paid damn near 40k a year ago.

They did let me take it home for the day though but I think my search will continue.

May try to sell my SR5 outright like the above poster said. Thanks for all the input guys I really appreciate it

Wth $28k. Then they put on their lot for $36k fucks. Keep what you have and continue to look something will come up. Or if not in a rush sell yours private party and then go buy whatever you want.
