I just bought some 20" wheels that I found on craigslist for pretty cheap.
I mostly just wanted the wheels but they came with some relatively crappy tires; they still have tread left though, so might as well burn it off. I'll have to solve this problem regardless.

The guy was swapping to different wheels at a dealership and they took the TPMS/valve stems so I don't have those.

Can I get some generic valve stems, or do I need expensive Toyota TPMS ones?
My truck is an '11 and the wheels are off a '12 Sequoia.
    Thanks

So, I'm not sure whether this question is just so easy/dumb that it doesn't warrant talking about, or most just haven't had to deal with this (probably the former:D)
I found this page which is a good primer on valve stems: https://www.tireamerica.com/resource/tire-valve-stem-types

Further research has indicated that the Tundra/Sequoia wheels are absolutely interchangeable, the valve hole is the standard smaller .453 diameter, and I don't see any weird shaping inside that would preclude mounting any of the standard straight stems without TPMS.

So I've ordered some standard rubber press fit .453"x1.5" stems and feel that they will work. They cost about a buck each instead of spending money on the TPMS and having someone reprogram it on top of that.

You will have a light on the dash since the truck want show sensors installed but there is a mod to disable the TPMS system.

Yes... if there is a mod to disable the system/light easily, I'll probably look into that.
I don't know if the ones in my factory wheels have been replaced, but if not they are probably almost dead anyway, but no light is on the dash currently.

Yea what Tundra234 said - I loathe tpms sensors - they break and malfunction very easily - I've taken Hunter engineering(sell most high quality tire changers/alignment machines) and I still break them from time to time just by the way they sit on the wheels. Just disable the light.

    Thanks!
The description sounds easy enough... just short the green wire into the yellow. (my truck is in the body shop right now so can't actually look under the dash).

I'm a little bit confused by the picture with all the resistors since they say that isn't necessary... but I'm hoping the written description is accurate?

Sure enough, the valve stems referenced above worked fine, .453x1.5" straight shaft is perfect.
I couldn't get the beads to seat on a couple of them, so ended up taking them to a tire shop to get those inflated and all four balanced anyway, but other than that, zero issues.
