Buying a set of 2019 wheels for my 2011 truck (Same exact Wheel size and offset). Will the 2019 TPMS sensors work if I break down the tire and get the serial number for each sensor?

If not, can I buy a new set of TPMS and somehow make them think they are my 2011's? I'd like to run 2 sets of wheels.

No. Toyota changed the sensor system in 18’. So your truck won’t be Ble to recognize the 19’ sensors.

Thanks. Can I get generic TPMS sensors so I can make the truck think it has the original wheels on it?

Yes, but you are better off with the OE style, as opposed to the universal ones

There are some manufacturers that supply programmable TPMS sensors, that with the correct programmer, can be made to match the oem sensors. But you will need to find a tire shop that can provide the sensors, have the programmer, know how to use it, and can make sure they are recognized by your vehicle. Swapping between two sets of wheels can be tricky, and may require re-programming with each wheel swap. There are a few threads on this subject, do a search and you will find a wealth of info.

Also, the truck can only store 5 sensors. So you will have to program each set of sensors every time you switch the wheels.

At my shop, we can program, etc.. but, I will say that the ONLY ones we ever have issues with are the EZ sensors, which are the universal programmable ones. The OEM style sensors are a much better bet
