    Hey guys!

Just wanted to relay a couple products that most may not of known about that we offer here at Toytec Lifts!

1/4'' Shim/ spacer to help compensate for driver side lean!

1/2'' front top plate spacers top help gain more clearance for larger tires!

Both products will NOT require longer studs, just a simple unbolt and bolt back in application! [IMG][IMG]

The Toytec Boss instructions say spacers or shims should not be installed or warranty will be voided. Is that still the case?

It is yes, since you have an adjustable coilover system you can adjust up to the 3'' mark.

What are your thoughts about adjusting the coilover down to 2.5" and then adding a spacer in order to achieve the same overall height but to lessen the preload a little to soften the ride?

Aren’t they needed mostly with new coilovers? Spacer lifts don’t have the lean problem since you’re using the stock setup that already compensates for it.

We have seen a pretty wide variation of leaning/ not leaning Tundras, both stock and aftermarket.

I did a rough country 3.5” lift. I added a heavy bumper and winch and use these to level the from back out. Works great!

Can you use the 1/2” if your running the Bilstein 5100’s? I’m looking for 3” of lift and already have the Bilstein 5100’s. Thanks

If your lift is coilovers, not a spacer lift

I wouldn't, too much stress on your stock coils with stacking spacers

Do you care to expand on this??

My thoughts are that adding a spacer on top of the coilover doesn't change the stroke length of the shock but just shifts it down relative to the frame and changes the angle of the control arms and CVs. I guess this could cause issues at full compression or full droop. I would be worried about the CV binding.

That being said, I had a suspension parts manufacturer suggest putting a spacer on top of the coilover and adjusting the coilover down to soften the preload. This person has tons of experience with Tundra suspensions but I have never heard of anyone actually doing this.

    Sure,

For one, stacking lifts is NEVER a good idea regardless of anyone telling you differently.
The coil has certain parameters and anything outside of its manufactured capabilities will put you at risk as well as others.
If it’s adjustable, it makes no sense to slap on a spacer, shortening its travel path for a lift that’s higher.
Your coil is set at 2” but have a lift of 3”, this increases preload and shortens travel, making it easier to bottom out and break your shocks, as well as top out

Besides this, Toytec shocks are valved especially for our tundras. Why mess with a good thing?

I have a RC 3.5” lift. I installed my winch/bumper and the front started dropping. Installed the 1/2” spacer and everything is fine. I’m up grading to adjustable coil over soon just to get the spacers out

Have an 18 stock OR. Will soon replace stock tires (low miles since not dd). Just planning for 275/70/18, likely duratrac Ds.

looking at one of these just to bump up slightly but keeping majority of rake. Can’t find install instructions. Most instructions are for the in coil that requir spring compressor . Can someone describe what the simple unbolt and bolt back in details?

basically seeing if this is much easier otherwise will just do 5100

Did you end up going with this? Curious to see how it turned out as I'm looking to do something similar.

No, it looks like it’s the same/similar process as putting on 5100s. I might be wrong but that's how it appeared to me. Assuming I’d rather do 5100s
