Can anyone tell me where the best place would be to obtain the latest Toyota Techstream software? I have an issue with my interior lights on my truck not working, and I need this software to run the diagnostics flowchart. I already have a Panasonic Toughbook that I can install it on, and I have the obd-2 connector (usb style) to connect to the truck with the laptop. Just need the software (and of course directions on how to install it correctly so it actually works).

ok, so I can download the Toyota techstream software from this site and install it on my computer, correct? Then use the mini VCI cable I have to connect to my truck?

Depending on the VCI cable you have, if you have the drivers for the cable shouldn’t be a problem

Starting to think I would be better off just paying the $300.00 for the IT2 diagnostic scope.

You can also buy a compatible cable from them for about $30 links at the end of instructions

This is because all the tricks you have to do if you already have one just follow the instructions, remember if we buy a cable and a disc online 100% sure the software is a cracked version, to get a legit version of the software you have to be a dealership or at least a registered mechanic to let you buy a subscription and is not a cheap subscription

Ok....cool! thanks for the help! I have to look and see what the OS is on that Toughbook. My tablet has Windows 10, and my other computer at home is....at home, of course. I am at work. Just found out this morning that on top of the other issues, I also now have a rear axle seal leaking....and that is going to be FUN to change. Explains why my ABS light, and my 4HI and 4LO lights are all flashing, as well as the VSC light. JUST replaced the rear driveshaft a couple of weeks ago after a catastrophic failure with that......ujoint let go and destroyed the driveshaft.

I am going to try to find the name of the place I ordered my driveshaft from and post it on here, in case anyone else encounters this problem. It was pretty damn nice to be able to order the complete rear shaft with a new carrier bearing installed, already balanced and ready to install.....They had one there that they were able to rebuild and ship to me....and it wound up being less expensive than buying one on Ebay or from the dealer. Couldn't find one locally in the salvage yards.

The cracked version of this file MainMenu.exe is in the file you download from the link

Then you have to replace the original file in the following windows directory

    C:/Program files/toyota diagnostics/techstream/bin

When you find the bin folder then just find the MainMenu.exe file and select it right click and select paste then a message is shown select “Paste and replace”

All step by step in the video

    Continue with next step...

Just a recommendation to anyone trying this install, before starting the installation disable any Antivirus software you have installed in your computer, most craked software is detected as malware or a Troyan which isn’t true in this case I guarantee that for sure

If antivirus detect any file as a virus or something else is deleted immediately and this may cause software issues and stopping software to start correctly for any missing files

Does v12.20.024 include 2016 in the drop-down list? My current TS version goes to 2015.

    Thanks.

Quick question for those that have done this. I've got the techstream installed and it works. But the MVCI Driver keeps failing during install. So now the cable isn't being recognized. Does anyone have a link to a new MVCI? It keeps ending prematurely...Thanks!

You have to install the MVCI Driver first and then Techstream. Its a huge PITA but this is the best step by step I found for the Driver: It takes about 10 minutes if you follow the directions.
