Just saw this announcment, although it's for 2022 models with the electronic parking brake feature. Another reason I'm glad for buying my 2020, I don't like the electronic parking brake feature.

My wifes 2016 Mazda CX-5 has an electronic parking brake and it can be troublesome in cold weather, not the time one wants issues.

Cables aren't a proven parking brake applicator?

It helps when the cable-driven parking brake is calibrated correctly from the factory too. If you haven't had yours adjusted, check it out in your driveway or other sloped surface. My truck rolled freely with the parking brake engaged.

Well the 2021 I have has a completely useless parking brake. Since day 1 full application and it can still roll one even the slightest grade.

I'd bring it back for a warranty adjustment, or just do it your self.

I have adjusted it a few times and it doesn’t last. But I understand I’m not alone in a poor performing e brake.

How are you adjusting it? Just running the adjustment lever in under the driver's door? Or are you pulling the rotors off and adjusting the parking brake shoes?

Doesn't quite match Ford's latest recall of half a million vehicles. Ford wins again.

    I got 2 notices.

One for the rearview camera mirror not displaying… don’t have it.

One for rear axle bolts. (Fixed it myself, until next service)

Which rear axel bolts are these?

Was your "fix" to tighten them?
