Bad memories of going to catholic school for 12 years.

 

Wonder if it's the same lady that sued McDonald's years ago for hot coffee.

 

I only went for 8, but yeah, memories.

 

Just got home after a week on shift. Still no slaps in the mail.

Before long there'll be some dipshit that tries to get child support for getting knocked up in the back of a car.

I've said it before, but humanity is due for a plague.

That lawsuit was 100% legitimate though. The negativity surrounding that woman was nothing but the result of a smear campaign by McDonald’s attorneys. It’s a complete myth that her lawsuit was superfluous.

 

And all she wanted was medical bills paid for. They offered her $800 as a slap in the face. So she sued and won. McD's coffee was hot enough it left her with 3rd degree burns and needed skin grafts. McD's did this so people couldnt get free refills because it took so long for it to cool before you could drink it.

 

She also suffered some fairly significant injuries from the incident and was hospitalized for eight days while undergoing skin grafting, with two years of subsequent medical treatment.

 

Public school for me, but had to write it on the chalkboard during detention.

Wife went to Catholic school for 12 years, and she's an only child.
Double whammy...

Fortunately in my later years, middle and high school, boys were given the option of detention or getting licks (paddled).
I always took the paddle and got it over with..
Rarely repeated the same offense, but always found something else to piss them off..

 

Yep. And to this day people use her as an example of what a frivolous lawsuit is, which is exactly what McDonald’s wanted to happen.

She didn’t even ask for as much as she got. The jury/judge awarded her additional money in punitive damages.

 

Figured out why I was so lazy yesterday.
I knew there was something I had to do this weekend and I was just putting it off.

I won't bum y'all out with it, but I got it done today..

On a lighter note,
With wife out of town I can make anything I want for dinner.
But I'm clueless on what it is that I want..

I made tenderloin fillet sliders last night.
I still have half of one of them.

Steak fajitas, nachos, or tacos may be in order...
And lots and lots of beer...

I'm going to make Tequila Lime Shrimp on the grill..
