Nope. I rarely eat out and when I do and they ask me how I'd like mine cooked I don't even say well done cause I know it won't be enough. I tell them "burn it".

Oh hell no! I just can't do undercooked meat. Doesn't taste right and if it's rare enough, makes me gag.

Finished up the weekend grilling a little bit for us. Clouds rolling around but no rain forecasted for a bit....just dropping temps. We haven't had rain in about 2-3 weeks and nothing in forecast for next week or 2. Crazy how it can vary so much between states and time frames

    Evening,

Corolla is gone :( Poor tow truck guys got their feet wet opening it up to put it in neutral :eek2: and adjusters will be here this week for whats left of the house :(:(

Co-Part yards are going to be bursting at the seams after this "Mess"..

Tundra may become a Traveling / Nomad vehicle as our "Little development" is going to take several months to "sort life out".. Con wants to "document an Adventure":fistbump:

We have family & friends encouraging us to VISIT :D:cool:...And Con & I are giving it serious thought :monocle: Bank the $$$$$ from insurance and "Tumble weed " for a year:tumbleweed::tumbleweed: ... DC and NH are "calling" and we hear Tempe Arizona might be a "Winter Hide-out"

I will have to "Toyota Mafia " the Tundra so folks will recognize it BUT I think I know a Guy ;) that could help make that happen

Last "Note" before I say Good night...My bourbon is safely back with me , Ian did not disturb my "inside stash":woot:

    Old Man back quiet

Sorry to hear. When it comes down to it though, it's all just stuff. You and yours are safe and that's what counts. I like the idea of tumble weeding for a while. Sounds like a good way to make the best of things.

If you do come to Tempe, AZ you must let us Arizona folk know you're here. We will treat you right and you may even end up settling down here.

I'm so sorry to hear about your losses as well as your entire community's losses. It sounds as though you have a good outlook regarding this casualty.

So 2 animal encounters on 2 different ways.
1st....saved a humming bird from our garage again. Same way as before. Got the push broom and had it tired out a bit (already tired since it was caught in the garage) and land on it then bring it outside the garage to go free. 2nd.....small rat drowned and got sucked into the pool skimmer. He'd been in there probably since yesterday according to decomp stage.

My latest animal encounter. For the last year+ I have had on and off mice encounters in my garage. I sealed the gaps I saw them going in/out of, and I have trapped and released many. I though I had gotten rid of them up until a couple of weeks ago. I started to see evidence and then heard some, then went out to get a beer and one was just hanging out, not at all worried that the lights were on or that I was there.

So, no more "humane" traps, time to kill. Now, I still have an outdoor cat so I can't use full on poison, so I bought a pound of this. I have been putting it down in a coffee can lid for 4 nights now, and it's gone every morning. So, I think at this point, this shit doesn't work and I am just feeding the little shits.

Those snap traps are intense but effective usually. One managed to get the tip of his nose and took the trap all the way across the garage!!!

Isn't this your first year with the pool? Get used to it. We've found squirrels, voles, moles, toads, frogs, spiders, hornets, beetles and snakes in our skimmers. Probably some other things too. Some alive, some not so much.
The one that really got me was a bullfrog about the size of my hand. I reached in to get some leaves out and and felt something squishy that moved. I might have made a squeaking noise.

It was for @TaquitoBandito to help him with his phobia. I suggested we all switch to it to desensitize him, but nobody got on board.

With your reaction and @tripleconpanna threatening to ignore me, I fear it was wasted effort. :(

I'll be swapping it temporarily to ease the discomfort of forum members before I can get my Zilla one back.
