More power to you, and respect for the hard work. Roofing is like plumbing. I'd rather take a beating than do it, so I pay somebody else for it. I'm also fat and out of shape, so the heat is an amplified misery. On the heat note, you might consider looking into something like the long sleeve UV fishing shirts. They breathe well, allow good mobility, and UV protection is always good to have.

All I usually wear are the the long sleeve fishing shirts. My crews wear safety yellow cotton ones with my logo. They don't like the material on the Columbia or Magellan ones for whatever reason. :notsure:

That shirt just happened to be black. Honestly, on the roof, color doesn’t matter, and if anything dark colors don’t stain as quickly I have found. There is literally nowhere to hide on a roof and heat is radiating from the sun as well as up from the shingles themselves. Ive tried every color… lol.
In the south on a summer day with 90-100% humidity, the heat index on the ground is like 110°. You can add another 15-20° to that up on the roof.
One color shirt is no different from the other in this line of work.

The heat is nuts, for sure. One tip on colors though, don't wear blue. Biologist buddy of mine says that mosquitos are attracted to blue. IDK why, but that's what he said.

Also, anyone that owns or drives a van like that, with no windows, and ESPECIALLY if it is white, should be on a national registry. Just saying.

I’ve definitely scoped a coat-tailer and called PD on them………. Haha turns out he was just killing time before class……
At least he knows not to circle the building 6x on my watch!

another dude actually watched a scrub escape from a motorcycle cop, chased him down and grabbed his hoodie and body slammed him……… supposedly there is no footage, but there were definitely cameras that caught it……

If it has logos, that’s somewhat okay. I’m talking about the bare ones.

And no, this does not count as a logo.
