    First and foremost thank you to the crew. You guys are all awesome and I appreciate it. I did read through all the shooting reactions and not one damn douche hangs out here. They may lurk but they don’t have the balls to get in this ring.

    thanks guys. :fistbump:

    @FrenchToasty @Black Wolf

    Leg day today so I had a lot of time to think while I was exercising.

    I think the best thing a parent can do is be there for your kids, like you have been. You need to teach them empathy and let them know they are going to make mistakes and they are going to have bad days but if they can learn from those mistakes those bad days always lead to better ones.

    I was bullied and I bullied because of it. The difference between myself and the people that bullied me is that I always felt bad about doing it and ended up becoming friends and standing up for the people that I did that to. A lot of my problems were probably because my parents were constantly working to make a living and it left me to deal with a lot of shit on my own. Fortunately, I have great parents and they would always catch me in time to reel me back in.

    On Boy Scout trips, I'd see my dad going out of his way to be nice to a homeless person. We were in Toronto and going into a subway. All the guys in my troop run over to the token machines and start jamming on the buttons, hoping for money to come out. The attendant has a hissy fit and starts yelling at my dad. My dad, calmly, apologized for the troop. I figured he was going to let us all have it, but he didn't. He didn't even seem mad because he understood we were little bumpkins and didn't know any better. I didn't take part in it but I was embarrassed because of it.

    When I was 18, my dad would come home from doing 16 hours delivering Pepsi, bathe my grandfather, and go to bed for a few hours and start the day all over again.

    My mom held my feet to the fire when I'd do something bad but never held it against me.

    So, as I ramble, and forget where I'm going with this, be the best man you can be in front of them and always let them know you'll be there for them when times are good or bad. You're gonna get angry when they screw up but it means you care. Expose them to different people, get them around volunteering for Special Olympics or even competing with an athlete as a team (I forget what it's called but it's pretty awesome).

    Oh, and keep doing what you all are doing with getting them outside. I can't imagine what my life would have been like if there was Social Media in school. The crazy thing was is that I was popular, it was just the other popular guy had issues with that and made me miserable because of it.

    A few years ago, my mom asked me why I hated my school so much. She started crying when I told her some of the stuff that had happened to me and said, "Why didn't you tell us?" Because I figured with them working all of the time, they had enough to deal with.

    But I am who I am because of what I went through, how amazing my parents are, and learning early on that there are always brighter days ahead. Are there regrets, hell yes. The trick is to learn from them and move on. Teach them that.

    If any of you all exercise and are looking for a good lifting belt, I picked up this from 2Pood (Pood is the unit of weight for kettlebells). Very comfortable and uses velcro instead of the usual buckle. I used it today when squatting and my lower back isn't bothering me at all. Also have these weight collars from Rogue. They have magnets on them so they stick to the rack. I used to have a bad habit of forgetting where I set my weight collars.

    Thank you for that, and thank you for thinking of my family.

    Side note “boys will be boys” my oldest can’t keep his hands off his privates, like he thinks it’s gone or something. So I said to my old lady, will they grow out of it and stop? Her response was “have you stopped?” Touché………
