1046. It’s going for 75 minutes, 22lber and sitting for 15-20 then carving. Eating at 1230.

we always do it early, so we can eat leftovers at 6ish

    I like your style.
At my moms we would usually eat at like 1-2, but today we’re going classic and starting at 530-6.

I changed my mind on how I’m cooking the turkey breast - low and slow is what we’re trying today. So time to fire up the smoker and hope it’s ready by 3…

Just being lazy and using the LG Competition Blend today. I need to go get more flavors but haven’t found them locally. I had been using Traeger brand, but pretty sure those effed up my cooks over the years because they burn different.

But I don’t disagree on your stance on pellets lol. I used to have a charcoal/wood burning offset smoker but got tired of tending that thing every hour, especially for overnight cooks.

I had one never used it because I knew the commitment. So I picked up a vertical pit boss.
So just down the street is Flame Connection and one of the guys there has stepped up their game. All different flavors of LG pellets. And then they also have this brand Knotty Wood that make plumb and almond pellets……… they are sooooo good! Light flavor, but they burn hotter and cleaner than any pellet I’ve used to date.

I didn’t realize until recently that Pit Boss and Louisiana Grills are both under Dansons. My new control board came in a Pit Boss box and I was confused for a moment, but that’s not always hard to do.

I told @AZBoatHauler the other day that my family is going to try to do a weekend in Tucson some day soon so I’ll definitely let you know. There’s also got to be someone up here that carries them, just need to find out who.

Happy Thanksgiving crew! Hope everyone’s meat turns out perfect, confident it will. Don’t forget to take a second to be thankful for all the family and friends you have the privilege of sharing today with. Also, everyone drinking whiskey or bourbon today, have an extra couple fingers for me. :hattip:

    Morning and happy Thanksgiving TM
Bird just went on the Pitts & Spitts (running about an hour behind). Smoke for 2-1/2 hours, then 325 for another 2-1/2.
Dinner should be just about 3:30.

Don’t be down about it. I did the same thing when I started going down the detail wormhole. Chemical guys had a few good products but better can be had. If you are already detailing your own truck then using better products is rewarding.

This detail kit is a great way to check out some killer products. We wanted to put together a set anyone can use and not dive into ceramic coatings and multi stage corrections. This kit is designed to clean shine and protect.
