@FrenchToasty - here's the pecan cracker in action. Cracked and picked for a little bit this afternoon (about 2 lbs of shelled pecans). It has a foot pedal I can use to control the speed or stop it. Once I get into the rhythm, it goes pretty quickly. Picking out the pecan meat is a pain but I have a little hand tool that helps with that too.

Well I noticed it’s got a slap on it, second, is this contraption home made? Third, since I’ve done stupid stuff with my hands, how many times has it gotten your fingers?

There's a family in Alabama that makes them and sells on Ebay. My neighbor owns a pecan grove and I saw him with one on his front porch after we had our first huge pecan windfall. I ordered it before Mrs. Bandito could tell me "no."

I haven't pulverized a finger yet but I'm hyper vigilant when I'm using it. Once I get in the zone, I'm unstoppable. If I do ever squish my finger, I'll be sure to post a picture of it though.

We tried them a few weeks back. I thought they were okay but it was basically a cake donut with crazy toppings. Great concept but I think my expectations were too high. Same way with Crumbl.

Made to order and warm when you get them are the biggest selling points. But I do like cake donuts.

Got this guy brined, rubbed and ready for the smoker. I think I might be cutting it a little close time-wise to be ready for dinner, but it’s a smaller shoulder so it’ll probably be ok.

How many lbs? I’d maybe crank it at 275 to be safe, so you have a smoke tube? I always double smoke……
