This happened in my province. I have no relation or connection to this story other than growing up in a first responder family and hoping to be a firefighter myself one day.

Figure we have a crew here with a bunch of first responders who wouldn't mind kicking in a fiver or something to help out this family. I can't imagine what the mother is going through.

we used to have a restaurant close by called the Crazy Cajun, and the owner was crazy!!! The food there was delicious and they did make one of the best Bourbon Chocolate Pecan pies I’ve ever tasted! Miss that place!

 

I’m from Kentucky and haven’t heard of it. Must not be far enough south!

Why you know this is the biggest question.

 

I learned about it years ago by listening to the Opie and Anthony show..
They would ask certain guests which one in the picture they would want to be.
I believe the correct answer is 'the cameraman'.

Got here a bit ago but just checking in after letting everyone see me….
Made it in 15hrs and some change, including fuel stops. 1144 miles. With wife and kids this drive can exceed 18 or 19 hours because of someone has to pee every 100mi, theyre hungry, they want to go browse @ Buccee’s instead of just fuel and appreciate the clean restroom and grab a coffee. Alone Ive always made it in under 17hrs, even if I hit Houston and San Antonio Traffic.

As for the music, lots of Pantera always, TOOL, KoRn, Stabbing Westward, Nonpoint, and I probably listened to Motionless in White’s “America” a dozen times this trip. Not gonna post here. Also lots of Corrosion of Conformity and even tossed in some hair bands. I listen to a lot of stuff but took advantage of my alone time to listen to what keeps me energized.
The drive back will be George Strait and other 80s/90s country, which is great, but makes for a long haul…

Saw probably 20 or 30 new Tundras here and there including one new Magnetic Limited that was pulled over by a Texas State Trooper near Van Horn or so. Not a single other Pro anywhere; that I saw anyway.

Happy Thanksgiving to you guys. Oh, and I did see this. Not sure whats inside these boarded up coils but they’re obviously gigantic and I thought maybe someone here may have some insight. Seemed interesting.

 

Oh, and as for the pie subject, I’ll chime in on what the best is. I had a rather heavyset Great Uncle (who was an awesome guy by the way, and like 25yr or so Air Force retiree) but anyway, he was absolutely firm on this subject…

He always said he only liked 2 kinds of pie: hot, and cold.

LCP Max. Pretty much the same size as the LCP but holds 10 rounds (12 with extended mag) and a few new features like tritium sights.

Glad you made it safe, and made good time!

As for the reels, I would guess either coax or fiber optic cable. They are usually shipped on varying sized reels, but need the cladding for protection. Stuff like conduit or steel cabling aren't usually enclosed like that.
