Off to the loser’s bracket. #1 seed hit us like a ton of bricks - only good news is my kid had the only hit of the night for his team to break up the no-hitter. They are all growing as baseball players and humans. I love how my son has progressed to the point where he is “catching” the balls that are hit - he loves the game. First pic framing a high strike and second one catching the ghost ball.

Back at it tomorrow - win or be eliminated from here forward.

My day yesterday while on vacation.

I'll start by saying we normally leave these things home but out of habit we put them on when we left last week.

My wife put my wedding ring, her wedding ring, her engagement ring and a necklace that belonged to my mother in the wash because she hid it in the pocket of a pair of shorts that were in the hamper.

We got back to our rental yesterday afternoon and I was on the deck having a beer and she was MIA so i went to check on her. She was frantically taking aprt the bedroom looking for the jewelry. She was positive that she had put it on the nightstand before she did laundry and now it was gone.

We had left the side door to the house unlocked when we went to the beach so now I was worried someone may have walked in and stole it.

The washer and dryer are stacked front loaders.

I went to check the washer and dryer but couldn't find anything. Finally after the 3rd time rechecking i find her wedding ring in the rubber seal between the door and the drum. As i continue to fold the seal i find the other 2 rings but the necklace is not there.

I spun the drum by hand and could hear something under it. After some YouTube and the tool set from the truck this is what it looked like. IMG_0208.jpg
The necklace was at the bottom in the clean out.

I'm now a pro at dismantling and reassembly of frontload washers. No extra parts, no leaks and i only bled from 1 finger.

My wife stopped me when she saw me getting ready to use a crowbar on our dryer. I have little patience when it comes to mechanical, before I knew it she had a professional working through the problem.

I replaced the seal on ours a few years back. Was having hell getting the new one on. Cut the hell out of myself at about 1am and gave up. The next day I walked in from work and tried again. It went on immediately. Sometimes you just gotta walk away for a while.
My wife was out of town at the time so she wasn’t there to stop me.

I suck at fixing things. I did get my sprinkler system repaired the other day. It was a win since I usually make things worse trying to repair them.

Yep, same here. Been married 38 years so she knows my limitations. I came to realize YouTube is my best friend when it comes to the Tundra mods and always asked are you sure you know what you’re doing? o_O

We have a Samsung dryer that I have fixed 4 times now. It’s always the same part that fails. The first time took all day now I can do it in a hour.

I have been able to do most things to the trucks pretty easily. Only things I struggled with were swapping out the rear bumper caps (front were easy), and the stereo, which resulted in a visit to the emergency room.

I just noticed I’m 74 messages away from finally hitting 1,000! That’s pretty bad since I joined This forum back in June 2020. I can safely say I live up to and earned the ASCM title!

And as you can probably tell work is slow today.

So, this brings up a question. What are the instructions on consumption of the cookies? Seems like I have a gap in my understanding of a few things.

I was ready to pay the boatload of money they would charge me for the broken washer at thw end of our stay. If it wasn't in the cleanout the next step was crowbar and hammer.

That all depends on the consumer's tolerance/gag reflex
