I Tow a 30ft travel trailer and use cruise control all the time. My cruise only disengages when I am going up a steep incline. Other than that it works great when towing. Have you tried the cruise while towing?

I pull a 30ft trailer too, never noticed that, don’t have any steep grades in our travels

When driving/Towing, if the speed deviates by 7 mph from the set point, cruise control is deactivated.

If you read up in your owners manual, it suggests not to use CC while towing...FYI.
