    Has anyone installed the OEM Toyota tow mirrors on their TRD Pro? I'm contemplating doing it for towing our boat and my work trailer. I see they have a marker light as well as a turn signal built in. Since the Pro doesn't have these features, I'm wondering what works and what doesn't. Thanks, Erik

    Thanks, I'm hoping someone with a Pro chimes in because I believe they all have the same mirrors. Because I'm feeling lazy and don't want to pull of panels in the 10F cold. If not, I'll count some wires.

    See fine print
    Pro is built of the sr5 platform so I don’t see why it won’t work.

    Yep, I think it's prewired.

    For sure, I'll check it out before spending any money. The OEM's are $188 each. How'd you spend $1000? Must me some sweet ass mirrors. Ha!

    Probably with powerfold.

    The sail panel is the easiest bit to pull off. Takes about 10 seconds. Remove, count wires, order.

    My SR5 was pre-wired for the turn-signals and parkinglights. I just added powerfold tow mirrors to mine. I had to run two extra wires and replace the mirror switch. The lights worked. (as did the power adjust and heat)

    Hmmmm. I'm coming out of an '07 Limited and am really missing the power fold. I have to fold the mirrors to fit in the garage. How much of a hassle was adding power fold to a vehicle that doesn't have it already. Obviously you need the new switch. where are you running the wires?

    After fishing them through the door to each side's kick panel; from the passenger side the wires are routed behind the floor carpet -> center console -> driver's dash over to the switch (existing power mirror switch location). From the driver's side, it's much easier.

    You can, if you want, get a used switch from ebay. That's what I did. $65. There are "knock-off" swtiches as well, which will literally arrive via a slow-boat-from-China (or Taiwan). :)

    It's not difficult, just time consuming. Toyota did a great job of making sure those wires between the door and the body are protected.

    An 18" chunk of wire coat hanger (sand off the ends a bit) did the trick.
    Here's the link I followed, which includes suggestions for the molex connectors (get at least 10 of each size);

    The tubing is a great idea.

    i was on the fence about powerfold vs not...saved up a bit and went with power and really happy
