Alright to get to the point i am ordering a 2.5 ome suspension lift from toytech. What i am debating is should i spend the extra $219 and get the adjustable toytech shackles. So i would be adding 2.5" lift pluse another 1" of lift in the rear. Is this to much rake and would it help the suspension travel? Thanks for the input i should be ordering some time this week.

IMO, 1" rake is not very much, helps keep looking like a truck. Not sure if it helps with suspension travel.

Also with any kind of modest load or trailering, it will be less likely to have negative rake. Over time the rear leafs weaken and sag, you can adjust as needed to add rake back in.

FYI, There are also less expensive but adequate adjustable shackles available, about 40% less.

Got these on Amazon. Others available.

Beefier than stock. Pic shows adjustable, got the 1", wish I had gotten the 1-2".

Get the shackles, I’m adding some to my truck this week. I like the way my truck looks with the rear slightly higher than the front. Just a little north of level. And I agree you can find them cheaper than 200 bucks. I jumped the gun and bought CB witch are very expensive for what they are.

Agree with above. I’m getting my install in a couple weeks CB 2” which give you 1.25” lift in the rear. Hopefully this will level out my front. Coach builder is a little expensive than others but it looks quality.

I had Toytec shackels on my Tacoma for 10+ years with no issues. I think they look better, and supposedly increase articulation vs block/add a leaf.
