Let's see what everyone else says....ok...let's say your job requires you travel out and you have a roommate you guys have been rooming for about a year now vacation times come so your roommate says he'll pay his half for the room even though he won't be there for either the first 4 days or the last 4 days or the entire 8 days or vice versa should you pay for days you use room like pay only for the 4 days cause you take either the first 4 or last 4 or take all 8 confusing yet??? My job is if you take vacation we work 8 days on 7 days off so either you take first 4 or last 4 of the week or entire week off SO.. should you pay your roommate for days you use room or pay the whole week even though you ther 4 days or out all week mind you guys we split hotel bill in half ...so pay half or save some money pay what u use

You are paying for it to be available to use, not the time you use it.

I'd keep it even. From what I understand both you and your roomie take vacations either the top 4 or bottom 4. Why not just keep it simple and split it down the middle.

lol if I go on vacation for a month do I still have to pay my mortgage? If your stuff is there you should pay your share! I highly doubt the roommate went into this strange situation with knowledge that there would be times he would have to pay the full price from time to time! Be kinda messed up to just stick someone with that outta the blue! Why in the world are you in a hotel with a roommate btw? Seems like that would be much more expensive than an apartment.

Maybe im confused lol is this a one time thing or?

you have a crewmax right? Sleep in your truck and tell him to buy a tundra. Keep all the monies, pay him per minute for shower usage. Boom solved

From my tower building days when we did the same thing travel wise. Every 4 days new city and or state. It was always pay what you use and if you decide to leave your stuff at the hotel while you went on a few day vacation i.e. tools. Just shot em an extra 20 bucks. we did 7 weeks on 1 week off. Pay for the days you sleep there and when you leave either take your stuff with you and don't pay anything. Or leave your tools there and shoot em a 20 for safe keeping. Pretty simple.

You should not have to pay for hotel or food if you are out of town for work. If you do you are getting screwed. Is this not a legit job? Ever heard of Per Diem?
I would always make my company get me my own room...if not i dont go. If i feel like jacking off, i dont want some other dude in the room. LOL

    TL;DR.

-your roommate taking vacation is not your issue. It's his. So if I take vacation, I don't need to pay my full mortgage? /thread.
