I have a dark gray 2016 Tundra Doublecab Limited that I took in for some new rubber. I had some 275/55/20 Michelin LTX AT2’s installed on my factory 20in wheels. The tire shops equipment scratched grooves into the face of all 4 wheels. They said they’ll replace up to $2,000 total for a new set.

My truck is stock, and it’s not in the budget to get a lift, flares and all that yet. I’ve been looking for some new wheels that’ll fit my new tires, and will look good on my otherwise stock truck. Any ideas for a new set? Because my head is spinning from looking online!

That sucks, but $2000 for new wheels is a nice gesture on their part. For that color something in gunmetal or black would look great.

It’s magnetic gray metallic. They looked up what it’d cost to replace the factory wheels (refurbished) and it was like $495/wheel

Honestly, there are way to many choices to make a suggestion. Maybe look through this thread and see if there is anything you like. You should be able to get some really nice rims for $2000. https://www.tundras.com/threads/official-tundra-wheel-and-tire-setups-pics-and-info.95/

    Anything from SCS!

That's shitty but the 2k offer is amazing on their part. I had a tire shop carve a sweet groove in the bead lock ring on my spare, fresh out of the powder coasters. I was pissed and all they offered me was free mounting and "come back anytime for free balancing".

Like I'm bringing them my regular wheels after that.

Sucks but really works out well for you since those stockers are priced higher than giraffe poon tang. So many options in that price range you are going to be solid no matter what you go with. Look through threads like the one posted above and see what jumps out at you. Should be able to find quite a few trucks in your color with many different wheel setups. I had this happen about 15 years ago on my Mercedes and they took care of it promptly.

If you are in an area that gets snow chose wisely. You'll need something that can hold up well in the salt, etc. if they are your only wheels.

I like the look of the 15-17 OEM TRD Pro wheels. Simple, but I like them.

You just need to find what YOU like.

    Lost track after #1.
Method, Grid, Black Rhino, KMC are all good places to start. There are others as well that I'm just forgetting at the moment. I have a Centerline thread floating around somewhere that has a bunch of potentials I was considering not long ago, so that should give you some more as well.

Thanks for the suggestions so far! Yeah, they’re not just handing me the cash, so I want to get the best quality/looking wheel I can with what they’re allowing. Thing is, they’ll need to fit the new tires I already bought. Most of what I’ve looked at online so far seems inexpensive in comparison.
What would be a couple similarly priced wheel brands to look at?

I like the look of both of these options. How well do Fuel wheels hold up in winter salt/sand. Decent brand?

Not sure what wheel the second pic is, looks nice though.

Man, that’s awesome. I had a tire shop do the same thing to my CCWs that were about $800 per wheel and they denied the whole thing and lied. I had to eat it.

With that said, get some aftermarket wheels: Look at Fuels or Methods to start. Could go with 18 or 20 x 9 + 20

Ouch, that sucks man! Guess I got lucky with them offering to replace them. I’ll look at those, Do they hold up decent? They’ll be my only wheels for all 4 seasons in Iowa (salt/sand/etc)

Iowa nice! I will be up there about 3 miles from the border in Missouri bow hunting on Nov 5th, can't wait! Got 3 preference points for Iowa so I should be able to draw zone 4 or 5 in 2020 and bowhunt there.

Yes tons of people run them. There are some other brands as well. Should check out the wheel and tire thread that Patten posted
