I have used Meguiars ultimate wash in the past, liked it fine.

This last couple times I purchased Griots brilliant finish (pink). It was ok, but I cant say I really saw much difference vs Meguiars. It cost more as well.

What out there has been a better value for you?

I will sometimes use a foam cannon, but generally hand wash and use the power washer to wet and rinse.

I don't mind spending the $ for something if it performs better. So, good suds, lubrication, clean rinse with no spots would be ideal.

Are you referring to Meguiars Hyper Wash? If not, that would have been on my list of recommendations.

I've used Meguiars Gold Class, Meguiars Hyper Wash, MTM Perfoamance soap, Jay Lenos Vehicle Wash, Griots Garage Brilliant Finish, P&S Pearl Shampoo, Chemical Guys Mr Pink, Chemical Guys Honeydew, and CarPro Reset. Best overall was Reset, followed by HyperWash, then P&S Pearl Shampoo. MTM and Jay Lenos made some serious foam out of the foam cannon, but took a little more effort to rinse off. So far, HyperWash has been the best value out of all of them.

I think you'll be happy with it. It foams very well, has good lubricity, and when bought by the gallon, is a good value. WalMart carries some Chemical Guys products, and this may be one of them, although I do not know if you can get it in the gallon size there.

Carpro Reset has a crazy 400:1 dilution ratio. Used it for the first time and loving it so far

To me, Reset is the king of all car soaps....it has the best combination of all the qualities you look for in a car soap....long-lasting suds, lubricity, cleaning power and easy rinsing. From a value perspective, though, HyperWash has a similar dilution ratio and works very well at less than half the price of Reset. It is my car wash for any non-coated vehicle that I detail.

Yes forgot to mention my truck is coated (ceramic pro), so Carpro may be overkill for a non coated vehicle

I use Chemical Guys Mr Pink for hand wash. Honey Dew Snow foam for my foam cannon. Been very happy with both products.

I'm guessing that is Adams Mega Foam? Just out of curiosity, have you also used their regular (blue) car soap? Forensic Detailing Channel gave it a very good review.

Over the Christmas break, gonna be taking a ride to Xtreme Solutions, which is based about 45 minutes away from me. Their car soap got very good reviews from Brian of Apex Detail, and it's priced very competitively at 8.99 for 32 ounces, and 16.99 a gallon. I'll be picking some up, along with a few other goodies, and will post a review of it. We've not had bad winters recently, and I'm hoping that this year continues that trend....so I should get a chance to use it sooner rather than later.

I just coated my truck two weekends ago with carpro cquartz uk, and yesterday did my first wash with carpro reset. Reset on its own is a great wash soap, but is mandatory on cquartz coated vehicles.

Though I really wanted to mention how much easier the ceramic coating made washing and drying. Water doesn't stick like it used to, so I nearly dried the car by using just a hose with no attachment to run sheets of water off the panels! Amazing stuff, and I had very little dirt come off with the wash mitts.

Reset is the only soap I use. I buy the gallon it lasts the year. My vehicles all have a coating and are topped with ceramic maintenance products regularly.

I expect that's true.....we're getting temps in the 60's today....so I may get the truck washed before it drops into the 20's and 30's this weekend

This does NOT work well in a foam cannon, I found this last summer....
Would pass on this if I were you...

I think it depends on what you're looking for out of your foam cannon. Some people want that crazy thick, shaving cream consistency. From my setup, the MTM PF22 foam cannon and a SunJoe p/w, it gives good foam, that's not in a hurry to run off. To me, that's what you want. There other soaps that foam better, like MTM's own Perfoamance Soap and Jay Leno's vehicle wash, but they're more difficult to rinse, in my experience.

If you try Reset, you will be impressed. Not many soaps on the market will do that. There also aren't many soaps on the market that are 85.00 a gallon

I think i've got a jug or two of it on the shelf, but cant remember if i've ever used it :annoyed:

how much are you adding to the foam cannon container? In my soap foam, i'm looking for it to be decently thick since i try to soap down the entire truck at once, then go around with my mitt or foam pad and go over the entire truck. If its too thin, by the time i get to the second side, its almost gone.

    edit:
i just checked....no hidden treasures on the car was shelf. I had Inside, Reload, and Ech2o. I'll have to keep an eye out for some Reset.

If I remember correctly, I put 2oz in the cannon and then filled it to the 750ml mark with warm water. I believe I would have had enough to go around the vehicle. There are a lot of factors when it comes to foam.....water quality, GPM of your p/w, outside temperature. I only buy Reset when I can get it on sale.....I'm way too cheap to pay full price

I only buy car washing products when on sale. So many different vendors, chances are at least one of them is having a sale. Sometimes it gets a little more expensive because i'm allergic to paying for shipping, so i've got to add a couple more items to get over that free shipping hump.
