My truck recently lost the gas pedal while driving I pulled over got it towed did a little research discovered that it may be my throttle body position sensor I went to Napa got the part that their computer said. I started digging in to it stripped one of the bolts which has led to a full day of work I had to take the hole throttle body of and pound a screwdriver into the stripped bolt. I have the part of this leads to the fun part I notice the part o have took off of my truck is a 4 prong the one I was sold was a 3 prong. I have brought back the part and me and the manager tried getting the correct part. I have been informed that the part is not in existence and never was as he was holding it. Amazon had one for the 1990-95 4 runner I belive it is the same. Has a anyone taken off the part and replaced it my truck is a 2003 Toyota Tundra v6(3.4) manual

Mind explaining that a little more, as in you pushed on gas pedal and nothing appeared to happen ??
Don't know if it will help but can you post a pic of your sensor ?

I’ll attach a pic of the sensor in the morning and I was driving about to go into 4th gear next thing I knew my foot was at the floor it was like my truck was off. I pulled over and I couldn’t do anything but stay in first gear around 2k rpms

Should of tested the sensor first with an ohm meter, because you sure it's not the gas pedal sensor. Just a thought.

True, if technically capable or at least observe visually and audibly what happens with engine on and manually rotating throttle linkage ?

If your tps is bad it'll cause a bad idle and won't accelerate at all.

I'm not sure of the make up of this particular TPS, but most have 3 circuits in it. Idle circuit, mid-range sweep, and the wide open throttle circuit.
