Anyone got a dealer to recommend with the most discount prefer on the east coast due to covid. I see some old threads where people were getting 10-12% off before rebates. Maybe not as much now due to inventory.

Are you not able to get the larger tank with a bench seat? It looks like it only comes in a package on the toyota build site. I'd like the 6 seater but just realized no telescoping wheel too so I may just go with the center shifter.

I'm looking for a CM 4x4 in 1 of the blues, cement or mgm. Whats the cheapest package to get colored grille/bumpers. I like the SX but only red/black or white I think.

I bought mine in New York, but I go to Colonial Toyota in Milford, Connecticut for any warranty work. Became very friendly with the Master Tech there and trust them 100%. It's worth the 1.5 hour trip for me even though I have a Toyota Dealership 15 minutes away.

Just finding inventory is the game now. It’s a safe bet that 10+% off is currently a thing of the past. Gone are the days of huge inventories and multiple dealers fighting for business. Even old standbys of inventory searches via cars/carguru/dealer websites is out the window.

I’d get on the phone and start making some calls. Inventory is changing so fast with most getting bought up before they even hit the lots.

Yep seems the benefit is on the dealers side right now, they can drain ya because of the high demand. If it helps I bought mine from Hanover Toyota, there is a place they relocate their used Toyota’s at called Lots for Less but that’s hypocritical, if you know what I mean.

Are you a costco member? Try their auto buying service....worth a shot. But, I agree that inventory maybe hard for some states. The dealer I bought my truck from had a handful of trucks in inventory. I went this past Saturday and they had a couple of dozen trucks on the lot. Good luck!

The 38 gallon tank is only available with the SR5 upgrade package i believe which is a 5 seater vehicle

Those color options are going to limit your choices. White or black will get you better odds of finding a truck.

The previous comments are pretty accurate. Most trucks are sold before they hit the lot with people putting deposits down before arrival.

I just purchased a Barcelona red SX package. Had to put a $500 deposit down and wait 3 weeks for arrival. I live outside of Minneapolis and went to Fargo ND to find the best deal.

I love the SX so far! Wish I had the larger tank but I can live without it

SR comes with bench seat, column shifter and 26 gallon tank but it also doesn't get variable speed windshield wipers. I'd personally go for the SR5 Upgrade Package.

15% including rebates is definitely possible just find the truck you want and make sure a dealer in a big city has one then make your offer and stay firm. It may take a week or some bad weather to affect their sales but they will cave if you remind them of invoice and the hold backs they will be paid.

For a NY dealer that I have used, talk to Christopher Malerba at Sunrise Toyota North. From Conn, take the Ferry over and arrive in Port Jefferson. If you are interested, let me know and I’ll get you more information.

Check PA. I'm from by you and drove down there for my 2021. Got 13% off MSRP on my double cab, SX package. After playing ball between 4 dealers and making them compete. Be cut throat, these salesman all douches.

Mid October 2020. Truck was sitting on lot, no special deal of haggling over a truck not physically there/or an order. Considering how much everyone was saying Tundra's were hard to buy from dealers during COVID-19 over the summer, was happy to make the deal. All 4 dealers had same colour and package SX on their lots sittings, so making them compete for the sale made it easier.

It's a long way from you in CT, but Martin Marietta Toyota about 100 miles north of Atlanta was VERY competitive on price, even dropping their price when I told them that they were too high compared to other dealers. I drove about 8 hours one way to take delivery, but they made it worth it. I made the deal with them in early March 2020, RIGHT before the COVID shutdowns. I got my 1794 with several options for about $48k including all fees.

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama) and good luck in your search!

I went to Pennsylvania tp look for a truck. The guy gave me a price which seemed reasonable. Until I found out he was keeping my $2,000 Toyota rebate.

As far as Christopher Malerba, here is his contact info: 631-924-8100 910 Middle Country Road, Middle Island, NY 11953

Wow awesome forum, thanks for all the advise. I'm definitely not in a hurry and could end up waiting until the 2022. But I'd figure with the great resale value I could have for a couple years and not take a big hit. I'm only buying if I get a decent deal I don't need a truck right now. I'm open to all brands but the big 3 rebates are no longer there. So I started looking at the tundras. I looked at the NY and Atl delears but didn't have the specs I'd want. I'll just need to start making some calls. This one would have worked but it's already gone.

That one doesn't have the upgrade package and thus has the small gas tank.

Ya from what I can tell you can't have both (bench seat and larger tank option) I like the 6 seat option and nothing interfering with my right knee but would like the larger tank too. Also prefer the telescoping steering wheel which only comes with center column shifter so I need to compromise somewhere. Guess I could always add a bigger aftermarket tank if it turns out to be that big of a PITA for me. I'd be willing to live with either option if deal is right.

If you haven't already try sitting in one before making decision. Can't be having no column shift lever here!

If you're not towing, the smaller tank should be plenty.

A larger tank is nice but honestly what are the consequences of not having one? you have to stop for 15 minutes at a gas station 2 more times a month? so 30 minutes a month of your time? Its a minor inconvenience. I know some people that say time is money but unless youre warren buffet youre not losing any substantial amount of money but stopping at a gas station at 7pm 2 extra times a month. just my opinion.

As mentioned if you are frequently towing long distances i can see that being a bigger PITA

Think about resale on the truck, you want to be right side up financially when you drive it home!
