@the_midwesterner think you can get a picture of how you mounted the propane tank there? I know which mount it is, just curious out you bolted it to the rack. Thanks!

Sure, I can get them tomorrow in the daylight. It’s just some bolts and washers through the power tank propane mount on the @Datin Metal Fab bed rack though.

Cool i would appreciate it. I just installed my @Datin Metal Fab yesterday and just looking for a mounting ideas for the Propane tank.

Also trying to figure out a mount for the recovery boards. Holes do not line up exactly how i was hoping they would on the. I will share if i think of something for those.

Yeah, same. Haven’t figured out a good method of doing this yet. I just ordered 2 more panels from Datin to try and accomplish it. Not that I’m absolutely in love with traction boards, but sometimes they are useful.

Yeah never really want to have to use the recovery boards but without a which it’s the next best thing I got to get out of trouble.

I’ll be checking in on the tread to see your progress. Keep it going man.

Indeed. I created a thread for @ExpeditionOne to show the interest in a high clearance rear bumper that retained a hitch and towing option, but no word on status yet. It’s still difficult for me to believe that no one creates this. Coming from the Jeep/crawler world, it’s a staple in like EVERY rear bumper design.

Also, thanks for the kind words. More changes coming soon.

Stocking up on parts for the install on this @ics_fab mount. Planning on finally putting my iPad up on there, plus the inReach explorer+ I got from @ramonortiz55 group buy a while ago. Went with the C size stuff for the iPad, since I HATE stuff that rattles. The rest of it will be B-size.

let us know how this goes. I am currently using one of the air vent mounts from Rago but looking for something a little more solid. I also have an issue getting the mount to stay on the passenger vent and Rago support said it wasnt really designed for the Tundra??... kinda odd but I am still looking for a better solution.

    Thanks!

Will do. I was hoping to install it tomorrow, but the stuff from Ram mounts didn’t get here. Since you have to mount the ball sockets on the bracket before you install it, the install will be delayed.

In other news, I got the first Tundra bed rack shelf from @Datin Metal Fab. I am extremely happy with the quality, engineering, and thought process of their products. So when they gave me the opportunity to jump on this, I did. Tanner is a legit cool dude, puts up with my constant pestering, and always has good customer service.

Here is a sneak peek. Installed pics coming later today once I get the DSLR out.

I forgot to get these until today. Here is how I mounted it.

Here is what I am forced to do. The end caps were just destroyed, so it was time. Hopefully, someone out there decides to make a good looking high clearance bumper that relocates the hitch. I’ve only been asking/complaining for this for a couple years....

    Great build!!

I want a rear setup like you. Rear can't keep up with my front with secondary bypasses :(

Thanks man! Your truck was part of the motivation I needed to get mine to where it is. I really dig your build. I too almost went with ADS, but settled on Kings after all.

I think secondary bypasses and @TOTAL CHAOS lowers are in my future.

Got the @Datin Metal Fab awning mounts in. These things are BEEF! Once I decide on an awning, I’ll put these things to some real use.
