Does the final configuration have the lock/latch in the middle?

Reason I'm asking is it appears it could be set off to one side or the other which would make access a LOT easier if the box were mounted at the front of the bed (wouldn't have to crawl into the bed to unlock). Thks.

It is in the middle, and has to be in the middle.

Offsetting it would make it easy to access from one side, but impossible to access from the other.

Not a long walk from one side of the truck to the other, which beats climbing into the bed, at least for me.

It's a nice concept, just not going to work for my needs. Thanks though.

Just an FYI for other people reading this thread.....you don't have to climb into the bed to reach the latch. It's easily reachable from the back of the truck.

Why not Tundra with relocated accessory rail?

The universal brackets that we offer will perform that function.

    :yay::yay::yay:
I don’t understand. That seems inconsistent with your webpage that says “Will not work with Tacoma or Tundra if your factory accessory rails have been relocated for Bakflip Tonneau Covers.”

I want to buy your product, brother, it’s awesome, and I know you are an awesome dude, but I need some clarity before I spend $$!!!

I meant to delete that note a while ago, but as usual, forgot.

The universal bracket simply sits on top of the bed sides.

That doesn’t look like it will work with a Bakflip though. Now I am really confused.

Does this work with the Undercover Flex covers?

    That, I'm not sure of.

Does it look like our attachment bracket will work with the cover?

Looks like it would. The deck rail system is not relocated with the undercover flex like it is with the Bak covers. However I’m not sure if it would hit on the prop rods any or affect the mechanisms that hold the cover down from the picture.

Took a better look today and it seems like it would interfere with the drain rails and prop bars. If there were a bracket that would be reveresed and shaped like this (|____|) versus the one above (,——-,) it seems like it would work.

Wouldn’t be any structural integrity issues doing that?

I assumed if I did that the bottoms of the bracket would extend up too high and make contact with the cover at that point.
