My fog light has been burnt out for the past 6 months and I realized last night why I have been putting it off. Removed 8 bolts, realized I didn't need to remove the two holding the front little mud flap on, then had to get the little bracket back on there. The fender liner still didn't want to come off of because of the little clips on the bumper. Took way longer then it ever should've. When I ordered the bulbs, Amazon said why not get the LED interior lights too for $10 so that sounded like a good idea too. Well as I was replacing the map lights, I jacked up the prongs on one of them so I had to take the whole overhead console down and fix that. What should've been a 5 minute job turned into an hour and a half by the time it was all said and done.

Lol. My buddy and I have a saying “5 easy steps” because every time he and I start repairing, or building something it gets to be much longer than expected. :annoyed:

Like all others said, it's always something

An easy 3rd brake light bulb replacement for me --> dropped a screw between cab and bed, took me :20 to fish it out. Neighbors were like o_O

A little of this and a little of that.
You could also search YouTube for videos on how to do it that would probably give you some great tips. The best tip, like someone already stated is to go through the front.

Story of my life. :annoyed:Although my suspension went in smoothly, it's nice modding a truck that's not all rusted out.

Yeah, the interior lights are much better. Much brighter and whiter light inside.
Not really, just don't remove the bolts holding the little front mud flap on, they aren't holding the liner in. Once you get all the bolts out, I just ended up using a little force to get the liner off the edge of the bumper. It's not that bad, just a pain. I did hear it's easier to take them out the front, but with my luck, I would've scratched the hell out of my bumper trying to get them out.

Today was much easier. Today I just had to put the skid plate access panel back on. That was a 2 minute job plus the trip to the dealership for the bolts. They changed my oil about 3 weeks ago. Two weeks ago we drove to Kansas City and on our way home we are driving on a side street heading to the highway and it sounds like something metal is bouncing on the ground. I look in the rear view mirror and see a little silver rectangle on the road. I was pissed because I could feel something hit my truck. I didn't think anything of it until my wife asked me if it was something that fell off my truck. I started thinking that I just had my oil changed and that thing laying in the road looked about the same size and color as the access panel so I pulled over and sure enough it was missing so we had to turn around and go get it out of the middle of the road. Called the dealership the next day and they apologized and said they would order the bolts and fix it for me. Went there last weekend and they had ordered the plastic bolts for a normal skid plate. They ordered the right ones and got them today. Now my truck is ready to go hunting this weekend. Skid plate is closed back up, new lights on the interior, in the bed, and fog lights.
