Thanks South Bound Steve, I’m now a detailing PRO In my mind.

You have suggested several items that I have purchased and they work perfectly.

I wish this southern boy didn’t live in Chicago and close to you as I would just pay you to do my detailing for me.

I have purchased the items in the pics with a couple of before and after shots.

If you guy have questions they have probably already been answered, just search. If not, I bet Steve will answer within a couple of hours or less.

Thanks Steve, you are the man.

I have some Waxaddict left over. Would it be better to use an all purpose cleaner (Adams) or WA? @SouthBoundSteve

    This^^^
I've only seen it for sale on one website

Steve is the man. I've never been into detailing, mostly because I always found it daunting and too difficult. Thanks to @SouthBoundSteve I now love cleaning my truck. He introduced me to products and techniques that are very easy to use. Cost me a few bucks but well worth ever penny spent, I've bought a lot of stuff for less than the price of one detail.

I cleaned my stuff first and then applied. As a self proclaimed Pro Detailer, and by the way you can be an ordained minister for $10, I would clean first then apply Waxaddict. Don't wont to seal in the dirt.

You should listen to Steve, as I stated a "Self Proclaimed Pro Detailer" I am, Sam I am. Green eggs and Ham anyone? yes I'm old and have been drinking at this point.

I use simple green and water to clean my floor mats and 303 after. If I had waxaddict I'd use that instead of 303 I think, I really wanna get some for exterior plastics. For now it's 303 for me.
From what I've read Sean, use the waxaddict on any clean plastics, tires, fender wells, trim....not sure about headlights, I use 303 on them now for UV protection

That's a true test of these type of products. 303 works ok on that piece but a day later it's faded again. 303 is a great product don't get me wrong, but it's probably better for interior and that cowl piece is a bitch to restore. If waxaddict does it then I'm definitely sold on the product

Wow guys....Thank you for the kind words!! I can’t offer too much in the way if mechanical items so I try to be a productive member!

    @T-Rex266...Sean,

I would use the Adams to clean. As far as WA, I like to use it on the exterior. For Matt’s, I like to use the German stuff that @Bones2012 has in his pic. @driverdog had success using it on the black plastic trim pieces on the exterior.
I did the liners once with 303 and my buddy went for a ride when getting in. Thankfully, he didn’t get hurt...

@SouthBoundSteve has turned myself and many here into detailing “pros”. His enthusiasm for sharing knowledge is a great asset for us.
That said, I shudder to estimate the amount of money he’s cumulatively cost the members of this forum.

Lol. This is so true. But our trucks looks amazing, especially yours!!! I can't even start to imagine the time and hard work he's saved all of us as well. A wax job used to be a days work. Now it's a couple hours with products he's recommended.

So, the Fence guy was here to give an estimate. I had my first detailing shelf up with my polishers on top of a box. He looked and said, “wow, this looks like a catalog.” Told him about products and the machines. He asked, “Do you take customers?” :D

Looks like you have your first AL detail job. Maybe he'll barter on the fence a little?
I may be a younger guy but I believe strongly in the barter

A monthly wash after a good solid detail? Maybe he has a fleet of vehicles as well? Maybe he has a buddy or 2 with trucks or fleet vehicles? Maybe he likes maple syrup? Who knows....but the opportunities are endless lol

Steve introduced me, kicking and screaming into the 21st century with the latest and greatest paint protection, ceramic coatings, lol.

In life, there is is always someone who is a risk taker. In detailing, that person for me is Steve!

@rons23 was the second person I partnered with to try ceramic coating.

Ron's truck was made to look new by Ron and myself and Steve, who was ever present in the background in case we needed advice.

Steve to me, is the "sensei" of detailing!! Here's why:

Ron's rig Before we datailed and let me say a darn good looking 10 yr old truck!

Ron parks this beast a few short blocks from the Atlantic Ocean day after day!
    IMG_0529.jpg

    Nice!
    IMG_0531.jpg

Under Steve's tutelage, @rons23 rig was made to look like a mall crawler, lol

    IMG_0631.jpg
    Nuff said!!

There are some whom, talk the walk and, some who walk the talk...Steve is the latter!

    Thanks @SouthBoundSteve!!

Thinking about how much we have spent on the products we have bought off of Steve's recommendations, just think what he spent on all the products to narrow it down to the ones he recommended. Maybe we should start a "go-fund-me-page" for him.
