I took off the front license plate holder. I am left with two holes in the bumper. I would like to do something to make it look a little better where holes are at in the bumper. What did you do about the holes in the bumper?

Maybe get some touch-up paint, try to paint the plugs before installing and see if that works; those plugs are cheap.

    Nice truck BTW.

If you can get to a just off the transport vehicle fast enough - they won't put the plate on - ask me how I know.

I replaced the whole part (front valence) but as it turns out even the brand new one has divots for where the screws would go so it only looks nominally better.

Yup, license plate plugs are the way.

I'm also in Texas. Not sure if you're looking to run a front plate or not, but the cops down here don't play about plates and Texas is a two-plate state. The law requires the plate to be mounted on the front-most part of the vehicle as well. Sorry, I have family in law enforcement so just posting as an FYI out of habit.

Not looking to crimp your style, but more just making sure you're aware.

    Nice truck!

actually the oem front plate holder (for the tundra) is one of the better designs. mounting screws and plate mounting holes/screws are separate which makes removing the plates and putting new stickers on way easier than my 25 4R. the plate and mounting holes/screws use the same ones so i end up removing the whole assembly for putting on yearly stickers.

kinda hard to put stickers on a sub zero plate during winters, so i have to pull them off and let them warm up in the house before applying the stickers.

I tell the dealer when I order, if they drill holes in the front for plates, don't even bother calling me to pick up the vehicle cause I don't want it.

Illinois is the same, I've been running no front plate for 20+ years in IL and never have been stopped for it.

If you're in Arkansas then why put Texas in your subject line?

My guess is either he moved from Texas to Arkansas, or the vehicle came used from Texas.
Either way, it clearly states he is in Arkansas.

As far as following the laws of the state one lives in, I'll side with @Peke_Papa
I'd rather not give the cops a reason to pull me over.
A front plate is not that big of a deal to run illegally.

    Happy birthday, TEXAS..

Sorry, I meant license plate bracket.

That put bracket on front. Took it off and there are two holes. That was what I was asking about.

Stuff happens you get older. You will figure it out one day.

All 3 of my trucks, wife SUV and the BMW don't have front license plates and never got pulled over in 30 years or got ticketed for lacking front license plate, despite the law. That's that

No front plate is a violation of state law, but hey, you're entitled.
State laws don't apply to you..

    It happens in Dallas.
If the cops are out on patrol and bored, they use any excuse to pull someone over.
Not so much now, but certainly pre-COVID.
But if you don't feel the need to follow state laws, then that's that.
    You do you...

Any other laws that don't apply to you we should know about?
You run without a registration sticker as well?

I just bought the no drill etsy mount. I live in NJ and and don't need the problems. That said, I have had tinted windows on my trucks 10+ years and haven't gotten a ticket. I have been "followed", pulled over a few times and it has not been a problem. The front plate seems a bit more obvious though so I will comply.

    No never..
But, to look at my vehicle, it's legal.

If anyone doesn't want a front plate, so be it.
But to suggest it to others that it's OK, saying no one will pull you over for it, is bad advice. :(

If it's 2:00 AM and you drive erratically, you'll get pulled over where I live.
    They live for that shit..
Why on earth give them a reason to pull you over?

LOL true. I work in DE so I get to exercise my freedoms, even though gas is cheaper in NJ sometimes. Plus, I was a gas pumper as a kid so not only can I pump my own gas but I can take the CC and run it on "press" and hand the customer a carbon copy. Those were the days...

Might want to keep it in Harris County then. Montgomery, I personally know the Sarge over the traffic division and they pull for plates and tint every day regardless of the time. Troopers love to do it too.

Just because you haven't gotten pulled, doesn't mean you're not illegal. If you don't run one that's fine, but don't complain when you get the inevitable citation eventually.

DPS doesn't mess around up here in DFW and NE Texas.
If they have suspicion, they'll pull someone over in a heartbeat.
Perhaps Houston is getting to be too much like Austin..:eek:o_O:cool:
