Which aftermarket taillights are worth purchasing?

 

Search function....there are a few threads already.

 

Waiting on my alpharex to show up. Been a few months which is annoying.

The Morimotos are supposed to be out sometime this month.

 

Look at the Nixon tail lights on Amazon. They caught my eye. Just wondering about the quality.

 

Been very happy with these and have gotten plenty of compliments on them.

Wait on the Morimotos

 

All the aftermarkets were too 'space age' for me.

Kept the stock lights and replaced all bulbs with LEDs..
Installed VLED resistors in the rear to cover front and rear turn signals from hyper flash..

They are getting close on the tail as turn conversion.

 

I saw one of your posts awhile back on it and emailed VLED on the dual turn/brake/parking light conversion.
They stated it was coming soon.

Where did you order them from?

 

Only time will tell concerning reliability, but I don't have a ton of $ invested and so far I've had no problems with these Spyders. I liked the smoked red with 040 white and they look closest I could find to stock:

 

Modified the stockers. VLEDs and Triton. Backup lights are also my turns now.

 

More details on how you did this and the functions....I have the Vled 921 turn signal bulbs and the V6 Triton in my brakes lights. Thanks

 

Vivid Racing. Disappointed with their system. People seem nice when you can reach one, but I get tons of generated emails asking ME if I got the item shipped to me or if I have taken delivery. WTH? It's a generic blast email. They don't seem to have a system that tracks packages and then generates the appropriate emails to customers. I had to call them after getting 3 emails about "let us know how your delivery went" emails to find out where and when I'd get my package. They had to call China? Or some other distributor to get back to me that I'd get my Feb order by end of June. .

I realize most vendors are not the manufacturers, but this experience with Vivid Racing will be my last. I got 4 emails about following them on Instagram and nothing about my order. Then I had to follow up with them.

Not cool.

 

Oh wow yeah that is very disappointing. I ordered some the other day from Headlight Revolution and their site didn't say they are out of stock but they have not shipped yet.

 

Pretty easy. Sort of. I 3-d printed a retainment ring for the triton and used butyl tape to hold it in. Then just wire the top and bottom bulbs in parallel.

 

have the same set up. Trickiest part was popping out the assembly without breaking off the tabs on the light housings. overall very bright and hopefully very durable. even did the 3rd brake light and bed lights in LED. Very Satisfied with VLED.
