    Ive seen some pics of tundras with a piece of plastic on the tail gate that covers the paint. looks pretty cool on some tundras, what is that?

    Most likely it’s the tailgate piece to a drop in bedliner. Hard plastic.

    6 inch pro comp lift, n fab steps, 20 inch LRG burst wheels with 35 pro comp tires, 38 gallon fuel tank.
    Air design makes an accent piece for the tailgate if that's what you're talking about. They also have some pretty legit looking fender flares as well.

    You can buy the tail gate cover from your Toyota dealer. I put it on my truck and a bed mat, nothing scratches. Wheatertech also makes one but it attaches with tape or Velcro, the OEM bolts on which I like better.

    My 2018 came with a plastic bed-liner. I like the tailgate cover that comes with it and will keep it when I get Line-X applied tomorrow.
