What’s up guys figured I would show my mild build. Just have a stock pic for now and pics of the lift that just got dropped off. Will get it put in this weekend hopefully wheels show up. Kit looks pretty legit. Just went mild this time around on suspension and give Icon a try haha. Any way here the pics. Hopefully have update pics after the weekend.

It’s the stage 1 icon kit. Method 706wheels I think they called and 35x12.50r17 nitto ridge grapplers. I have it set at the 2.25 inch setting in the front stock height in the rear. The ride is nice has a sporty feel to it for a truck. Icon runs diggressive valving in their setups so it’s a good combo with the soft factory springs. Handles way better than stock. I’m happy with it for what it cost it’s a lot of bang for the buck. My old truck was setup really nice. So I have a pretty good comparison.

i was eyeing the icon stage 3 stuff, wasn't sure if it would be worth the extra money compared to this stage one, sounds like your ride is good!

The stage 3 isn’t that much more. Depends on how you plan to use the truck. That stage 3 kit will be a little easier to install yourself since you don’t need to swap the front springs over. The ride is good I like it a lot considering what I had in my other truck. Now this kit doesn’t hold a candle to the performance of my other suspension system. But for daily driver and looks it’s perfect setup and will perform well for mild off-roading. I would have preferred some 2.5 shocks for the rear I think those would be a better match for the front 2.5’s.

Nice truck. Love the color combo.

Did you grind out the lower control arm lower shock mount pocket for the icon shock clearnace?

Thanks! Yes had to grind out the lower control arm. Wasn’t bad at all. Here’s a pic that was before the final clean up and some spray paint

Welcome. Yes not to bad of an install. Moving the springs over is the most time consuming part, but a fancy spring compressor will make it that much faster. I just ordered a spring compressor set off of Amazon and they worked just fine.

I ordered the same compressors that Westcott Designs used in their install videos.

Made quick work of it and pretty safe overall. I used them with my Cornfed 3/1 Install.

Been a while since I posted anything. Added some stuff lately figured I would update page lol. Wasn’t gonna add much to this truck but she is really growing on me so gonna end up putting better suspension and other mods after all. Here couple of recent add ons. Diamond back HD cover and a bed rug.

It’s been a long time but decided to change my set up a little. Only got rear done today hopefully have front done tomorrow. Going 37’s so decided to upgrade some parts. Went Icon 3.0s with icon .5 inch lift rear coil springs. Made a bracket to move brake lines so they wouldn’t be stretched at fool droop. Other than that easy install. And some pics!!

Any seat time with the 3.0s yet? Really curious how they ride. I've heard maybe 5 percent stiffer than 2.5s with cdcv

Just got the rear done today. I will get the fronts installed tomorrow. But the rear felt great from the test drive the 3.0 combined with the icon coils back there is a huge improvement in ride quality. I’ll update post once fronts are on and alignment is all done.

Staying tuned for your impression on how they ride compared to the smaller non adjustable icons.

Got the front all done yesterday. The 3.0 stuff is really nice from Icon. My old truck was all ADS and my wife’s 4runner is also ADS suspension. But I gotta say I’m happy I got the Icon. So did 3.0 front, silver TRD axles, icon bumps, and icon uppers. Initial impressions set way too high lol I’ll adjust it today. First ride impressions keep in mind I not running front sway bar. It rides awesome so far. Took it in the dirt for a little blast. And it is a huge improvement over the 2.5 exp shocks that were in there. Once it’s aligned I will drive it more and sure it will be better. But so far super stoked with the upgrades. I will post some pics once 37’s installed tomorrow

3.ohhhs are beef. how many inches of preload are the shocks at? Did you take hub to fender measurements to calculate lift? I'm pleasantly surprised that they ride so much better than the lesser Icons. Everything I've heard is the 3 ohs are a little firmer until you really hammer on them

I was surprised also. Needs alignment so when that’s done can get a better feel for it. I adjusted it this morning. Initially hub to fender were 27 front and 26 rear. Drooped number in the front is 29 1/2. Final number where I liked it was 25 front hub to fender. From the floor to fender initially was 40 and after adjusting is 39 in front from floor and rear 39 3/4. Rough numbers but got it where I want it.

Oh ya, looks much better with the front end dropped down a bit. Stance looks killer. Can you let me know how many inches of exposed threads you have after adjusting the coilovers? Looking to copy this setup.
