    Hello,

Has anyone seen the Tacoma TRD Pro emblem used on the Tundra. I was thinking about removing the "platinum" badge and replacing it with those. Thoughts? trdpro.jpg

So yeah thats the one thing that has me on the fence about it. I don't have a Pro, but I added a lot of the TRD pro parts to it, so kinda lol. and those look like they would match the rest of my truck nicely.

Did you add the TRD suspension? Exhaust?

If so, I say you’re fine to add the emblem. After all, you have a Platinum and a Pro is just a SR5. But to me, you need the suspension and the exhaust. Not the wheels though, those are just SR5 TRD Off-Road wheels with a different finish.

Sway bar and CAI aren’t pro pieces (neither is the exhaust really, could get it before pro existed). So really you have nothing from a pro, just TRD accessories. I vote don’t run the badge without the suspension.

Platinum is luxury, one with Pro mechanical parts is even better, I’d be proud to sport those Platinum badges. If you replace them, it could be mistaken for a SR5 Pro wannabe. Tundra owners will know it’s not a Pro, you’d only be impressing everyone else. Or if you don’t care what people think, do what makes you happy. It’s all that counts in the end. How about blacking out all your emblems?

I have an SR5 with the pro grill pro TRD center caps on the trd off road wheels and PRO suspension. As cool as those badges look I could not put them on my truck. I say you just keep the platinum badges and maybe add some red to them if that gives it a little more of a special edition feeling.
I think what could be cool if you added just a TRD badge under the platinum badges.

I'm also contemplating about this. I actually did buy a set of TRD PRO emblems but haven't put them on yet. I just bough the new Platinum and added all Pro parts (fox shocks, wheels, BFG tires, grille, exhaust, skit plate, color matching side view mirror cover cuz i'm not a big fan of chrome). I liked the Platinum interior and safety options so went with this route. I'm wondering if there's a place that can custom make an emblem like "TRD Platinum PRO". That would be perfect.
