And yet, he only used both trucks to pick up groceries.

His dumbass couldn’t find reverse. Sounds like he doesn’t know how do use a manual transmission properly. Put it in first let out on the clutch a little to line everything up then try reverse again. Sounds like a vag when he’s explaining his observations of the trucks. Think he wanted a car instead of the truck. Sounds like he knows the Toyota will last longer but he would still opt for the one with all the whistles. I guess that’s good for somebody who trades in their car every 3 to 5 years.

For me I just need my truck to be comfortable, play my music, not break down, haul ass, last along time, look good and do the work I needed to do with ease.
I’ve had a fully loaded Chevy. It sucks when stuff starts to break on you. All those cute little buttons and options start to take a shit.

Rant over. I’m not saying I wouldn’t drive that Chevy because I’m sure it’s pretty capable when it’s new. After five years I bet it’s not.

That's why Toyota never wins any awards on "initial" quality and "motor trends", cause they don't have the bells and whistles like other cars/trucks do. But as you say, will last longer and always have better resale value.

I’m so glad I finally came to my senses. I went full circle. Started with a Toyota. 20 years later, back in a Toyota. Made a couple of my friends pissed off at me. But we’re still friends. I will say my friends 2000 Dodge Dakota has lasted him over 230,000 miles with not much repair put in. Basic maintenance. Front end rebuilt, rearend rebuilt, freezplugs. But door locks don’t work anymore and he’s gone through a couple of wheel bearings. Also he couldn’t get jack shit for if he sold today. I bet the same year Tundra or Tacoma, with the same miles would get double to triple the $$ his truck would get.

I opened the link, saw that stupid looking hat and polka dotted scarf and thought "yeahhh, this is the douche bag I'm gonna trust to review a truck!"

I had a 1996 ZR2 S 10 for a year or so before I bought my 2004 Tundra, very capable truck off the assembly line when it did not need dealer repairs! I sold a 1986 toyo efi extended pickup for it, in hindsight, bad choice and that truck would have made a hella rock crawler. I always seem to come back to Toyota's

That was a dumb review, this guy can't even drive stick. Hard time getting into reverse, come on man! Comparing a Sport to a ZR2 is really dumb. Now Pro vs ZR2 would have been fair. I just wasted 5 min of my time reading pure shit review:poking:
Goes to show some people have no idea what they are writing about.

I repeat...a total worthless lame ass waste of my life for a couple of minutes. Just because Chevy names it Colorado.. BFD. The Chevy "Frisco"...I could understand.

Nothing to be sorry about. Website who put this garbage out should be sorry, they are misinforming potential buyers.

That's why I don't care about Car&Driver/Road&Track truck reviews. Last thing I want to read is a truck review by a guy who's preferred method of getting around most of the time is a Pee Us..

My bosses dad bought a CO Canyon. Makes it sound like the best truck ever made. That's fine with me.

Let’s compare 2 trucks that have no similarities other than being trucks.

Wouldn’t expect a lot from business insider anyways...

I like the way the high end Chevy is compared to the mid grade Toyo. That seems to happen alot. He contradicts himself so many times it's wrong on so many levels

Sorry to revive a more than 1 yo thread, but I just traded out of my 2018 ZR2 for a Tundra. Couldn't be happier. I was having transmission issues with the known shudder and really hard downshifts from 2nd to first. Chevy said it's normal. I said, ok then, bye. Fuel mileage on my 5.7 Tundra is about the same as the V6 ZR2...

I just got rid of my '15 Colorado Z71 for the same reasons. I was worried as soon as I was out of warranty the transmission was going to shit the bed.
