over the past few weeks, my switch-pros unit has been acting kinda funny. definitely not funny ha ha. occasionally, a switch would take repeated presses to turn on. or it would go on then shut off by itself. the other morning, heading up the hill for a dawn patrol hike, the entire thing went dark. the lights went out, the backlight went off, and a few seconds later, it came back to life. this happened last night while i was sitting in the parking lot waiting on roxy.

i have not yet jumped under the hood to take a look at the wiring. maybe this afternoon. has anyone seen this happen or have any ideas? loose connection? not enough power? software glitch?

typically it would be a ground problem or a positive wire loose, or bad connection.

I was having issues with mine too and turned out to be a bad ground. Definitely check your grounds!

    so. figured this out. :anonymous:

it was not the ground. all grounds were tight and solid. the positive cable on the other hand... well, let's just say it was loose and floppy then let your imaginations run with the rest. not sure how it happened. probably didn't tighten it enough the last time and the last few dirt excursions knocked it loose. really surprised that the truck even started... :D
