Hello everyone, I recently purchased a switch pro SP9100 for my 2020 tundra. I purchased a blue sea terminal block for all my connections (to make it easier/cleaner). I’ve been debating on a few ways for mounting it. The kit I bought came with the SDHQ mount, but that mount will not additionally mount my terminal block. So I’ve been throwing around the idea of buying a pelican case and drilling a couple of holes in the side (for the wiring) and mounting my terminal block, switch pro, and all the wiring. In my head it sounds like a good idea and would look very clean under the hood. My question is has anybody/knows anyone who has done this? If so did you have any issues? My main concern is containing everything and possibly heat issues in a box like that. Any and all input or ideas is greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't go that route, the Pelican cases aren't rated for electrical at all. There are waterproof junction boxes on Amazon and other sites that you can use for this instead. The SwitchPros doesn't need to be in a sealed container but it would be nice if the connections on that bus bar are.

Isn't the switch pro supposed to be mounted vertically?

They prefer it that way, but they also say not to use junction blocks :anonymous:

Yes this one was mounted this way because it was already a couple years old so warranty was gone.

Here’s the new mounting way. Goes the same way on top of the fuse box.

Yes sir! Unfortunately these aren’t made for our tundras. They are made for a 4runner. But with a little ingenuity for the mounting legs they work like a charm. Right over our fuse box.

Does anyone have an idea how to power the sp9100 without tapping into the ignition fuse from inside the engine bay? I have a aftermarket headlight that is currently using the ignition. The injectors are also a 10 amp but just debating what other options there is

Just posted this on another SP thread but will try this more recent thread:
I have an SP9100 running aux lights and an arb compressor. Everything works great. I just installed an MPPT solar charge controller/hood mount solar panel to keep my batt topped off since I run the aux lights with the truck turned off a fair amount on my farm. Anyway, the SP is only getting 10v when the mppt is connected to the batt. Grounds are connected directly to the neg batt terminal. Pos SP and pos mppt go to pos batt terminal. If I disconnect the mppt charger leads then the SP runs fine again. Charger is charging the batt. Batt is 12v+ What do I need to know?
