So I removed my front sway bar 2016 Crewmax Platinum to have powder coated white to match my rig. This was on the truck when I purchased it. Question is, whats the difference between this sway bar and the red TRD one... Besides the color?

The TRD one is solid and much heavier than the hollow one currently on your truck.

Is there really a noticeable difference in handling by upgrading to the TRD front from this bar?...or would I just be better off adding a TRD rear (nothing there now) and calling it a day.

The rear is amazing and IMHO a must have. I have the TRD front sitting in my garage waiting for my staycation starting 12/13 to install my 6112's, TRD Sway & sway bushings (don't come with the sway buy a set) & new end links.

I'll be able to report on the difference sometime around 12/15 or so.

I also upgraded to the Trd front sway, I can’t remember exactly but the Trd is heavier and I can only imagine translates to being a touch stiffer too. To me it didn’t seem too much of a difference but I did notice it felt tighter and more controlled in the turns also swear it just felt more solid cruising on the freeway. I say go for it! It’s only money :spending:

I have front and rear and love both because I turn corners like a mad man and it gives less body roll

I took off the front sway today to powder coat, drove probably 20-30 miles on some city roads and winding backroads, I think I like the ride better with it gone. Definitely not buying the front TRD for a few extra pounds and a cunt hair more rigidity. Lol. I'll find better mods to waste my money on.

I found a difference in the handling. It wasn't as dramatic as the rear, which was installed weeks after the front, but it was noticeable and an improvement, IMO

u tube the front trd bar. They say it’s great upgrade, especially when paired with the rear.

The TRD Front sway bar weighs 29 lbs compared to 17 lbs for the normal one.
Wondering though why if you purchase one it is TRD Red and the stock one on my 2020 PRO is black...anyone know why ?
