Hey guys, new to the forum with a question I can't find the answer to anywhere.

I recently had 6112s put on my 2018 limited 4x4. The shop that put them on did a terrible job on the alignment the first time they did it, took it back and had them redo it, and they got it closer. Knowing they had issues doing what should have been an easy alignment I am worried they didn't put the bilstiens on right.

My sway bar ends are rubbing both struts. I don't hear anything making noise, but as you can see below they definitely look like they are rubbing. Obviously this isn't great. I thought about removing the sway bar, but I run a lot of highway miles and would rather keep it. Anybody had this issue and fixed it? should I get another alignment? Attached are my alignment specs.

    Any insight is appreciated...IMG_2880 2.jpgIMG_2879 2.jpg

yea it does look like that from that angle.. they are close to the tie rod but if they are hitting.. its not often. I took these after miles of bumpy dirt roads so they may have hit a few times. The sway bar is leaving grease on the shock though.. I wiped it off to see if it was a one time thing and it came back

It looks like your end links are leaking grease. You can see it all over the end of the sway bar. Id say its not necessarily hitting but may be. Ive got he 6112's and Mine don't hit. Hopefully somebody can chime in about your alignment numbers

that's a good thought.. I assumed they were hitting because the grease keeps coming back but its possible its just blowing on there or something. Like I said I don't hear any noice when I drive over bumps and stuff.

Mine are at the 1.9 setting because I wanted to keep it as close to stock as possible to avoid issues while gaining some clearance. I'm kinda hoping its an alignment issue at this point.

Here is my 6112s setup. I compared the pictures to notice any differences. Other than the obvious I don’t see anything, don’t know if you do. 7357A37C-0A96-4C99-9FCE-69A17D3B2BF4.jpg1C2F0801-FDB1-49B2-907F-30F6EDDDE19C.jpg

Don't see how they'd mount them incorrectly. Really only one way they could be mounted.
Do you see scratches or scrapes on the cylinder of the strut or just grease? Unless you see obvious contact marks I'd say its just the grease from your sway bar end links blowing onto the strut. The Bilsteins are a few mm bigger in diameter than the stock struts, but not enough to cause clearance issues I wouldn't think. Lot's of folks running them with no issues.
Your tie rods do look closer than ones in the other pics, but could just be the angle.
Maybe take a pressure washer to that whole front end and replace those end link bushings and then check it after putting some more miles on it and see if the condition still exists.

    Guys,

Good insight from all. Already glad I joined the forum.

Upon closer examination this morning it does look like grease is just blowing onto the struts (or shocks? I forget). Until I see metal on metal I'll probably quit worrying about it. I am going to retorque the bolts on the sway bar to spec for my own peace of mind and quit worrying about it.

I feel a lot better knowing others 6112s sit this close.

Side note: I love this suspension. I had 5100s on my last truck and these are definitely a step up. I am able to take dirt roads much faster and the truck holds the ground much better.
