I might be greedy but want better than factory ride. Have studied quite a bit on this site and any suggestions would be appreciated. I have airlift bags in the rear and wouldn’t mind a lift up to 2 inches in the front. I do lots of miles on washboard dirt roads and mild 4x4 off roading. Kinda leaning towards icon but would love your guys input thanks !

I went with Bilstein 6112s up front and set them at 1.9". They ride better than stock, but I doubt they perform as well as Kings or Icons. Other suggestions would be the Fox 2.5" diameter coilover shocks or the TRD Pro suspension, with the TRD Pro probably being more expensive than the Fox's or Icon's. Not sure how their price compares to Kings, though, but King suspension is definitely top notch.

3/1.5 lift. TRD sway bar. Bakflip V1 cover. Fuel wheels w/BFG A/T.
I ran Bilstein 6112 on top setting for about a year. 5100s in the rear. Big improvement over stock. I was stock for a year and very disappointed in ride quality. Switched to Icon VS 2.5 F/R early this year and love the setup! Even better daily ride and sucks up big bumps with ease. I also like the adjustments up front. Got it dialed in to the perfect ride quality and lift combo. In the rear I also run a Toytec shackle at the 1” setting. I’ll keep this setup as long as I own the truck. Maybe something a little more glamorous on my next Tundra in 5 years.
For comparison, the Bilstein setup ran about $800 F/R. Icon I think I’m into it for around $1700 total. Those rear Icon 2.5s are not cheap. But damn they’re smooth.

Honestly, you want the BEST ride quality possible, Elka.

Performance 2.5 suspension system, resi's front and rear with high speed and low speed compression adjustments in all 4 corners, rebuildable, fine tune adjustments at the tip of your fingers.
Its a pretty penny but worth every bit! @Bailey is running this same setup on his. Shoot me a pm and we can chat more about it :)

I run a icon stage 3 with Spc upper control arms. I have diff drop up front and Firestone airbags with a spacer to help with gap. I love the ride of the truck. The tires made it ride a bit more rough. I had stock tires for about a month once lifted and it rode great. But I wanted stiff tire for towing and Offroad. And damn does it handle amazing off road.

THis system got me piqued...would really like to improve ride quality on road...my current set up provides just the lift but did not deliver on the desired ride quality from stock..

congrats on the Elka shocks, the lower end of the shock seems smaller and wouldn't have any contact with the tie rod, my kings do but only at full lock which I don't do anyways but it was just a test to see if there was contact anywhere but I love them.

Glad you’re happy woth your ride quality!

Like @ColoradoTJ said, air bags hurt your ride.
They’re great for towing and hauling, but terrible for washboards and off-roading (from trails to mountains) since they’ve been known to exacerbate bed bump.
