    Hi Guys,
I’m a new member and I own a 2011 Tundra and when I bought it I had the dealer install the TRD Supercharger and it’s been awesome. I have 168,000 miles on my Tundra and I have had no problems at all with the Supercharger or the Tundra. Now I’m looking at buying another Tundra and found out that TRD isn’t making the Superchargers anymore and found out they were getting them made and private labeled by Magnuson. I called Magnuson and they are selling their Superchargers for $6,995.00 for the Tundra plus labor from one of their dealers and I was just quoted $10,000.00 for the complete Supercharger installed. My question is has anyone used another manafacture and it so what’s your feedback and price.

It’s basically the same but with Magunson it generates more HP.

I can't answer your question, but I have one of my own - what have your MPG's been like with the supercharger?

10k installed seems pretty steep. I believe most people were getting them installed for around 1k...so around 8k total....I’m sure those with super chargers will chime in!

    Not enough space here...
Also if you purchase your best price will probably be through sparks parts and use tundracrew as the discount code for 5% off.

Thank you and it sounds like there aren’t any TRD Superchargers left.

Magnuson is the company that made the supercharger for TRD, middle of 2015 Toyota handed the rains over to Magnuson. They then made it possible to supercharge a ffv i belive in 2016.
Your TRD cover plate will be a collector item in the future.
P.S. i have been drinking beer agian so please take all this with a shovel of salt.

Stick with Magnusun because it is designed to match perfectly to your Tundra but with 50 more HP than the Magnusun OE TRD Supercharger ( yes Magnusun was the supplier of the TRD superchargers). You should be able to get it installed for an out the door price around $8k. Someone is trying to soak you an extra 2K if they quoted you 10k. If you’re located in the northeast I can hook you up with Master Technician “JJ” at University Toyota of Morgantown WV.

Sparks Toyota in Myrtle Beach SC did mine. They do a ton of them, they were doing 3 Supercharger installs the day I had mine in for the install. It only takes a day to do it so what ever the shop rate an hour is x 8. Mine was under 8K out the door with BD tuner installed.

If i had my pick for the installation of my SC it would be Sparks. I did mine in roughly 3 days taking my time, to DIY you would need a few days free form work and some basic mechanical knowledge. If you could change out a intake manifold back in high school you should have no problem installing the SC. The installation manual is ok but should have a few changes to it and updated. Just to name a few of the things that gave me a little resistance: new Serpentine belt install (little tight), SC intake bolts hard to get too (some are a challenge to tighten), reflashing ecu with Bully dog first time (frightening) and very hard to see with 53 year old eyes (wish they would make possible to mirror to a HU. Other than that you are step by step cutting and installing hoses and a very simple electrical hook up.

Thanks for your feedback I live in Southern California and I'll do some shopping around. The company that quoted me that price was Toyota of Escondido in the San Diego area and Magnusun referred them to me maybe they are getting a kick back for that high price. Hahaha!!

We've replaced one supercharger recently. The customer supplied it. Came from Eaton. We replaced it because the rotors inside were making a God awful noise.

Mine was just under 8k for everything. I did get the SC online with free shipping and 5% discount. Couldn’t use Sparks because I live in South Carolina (sales tax) and they would have charged shipping. Install was around $1250 at my local dealer. They did take 2.5 days. Dropped it off on a Monday and picked it Wed afternoon at 2. Mine is FFV.

Casey Toyota we charged 10 for just the removal and replacement of the supercharger itself. It was already supercharged. Customer had it done in Mechanicsville when he bought the truck. Then, it kinda went south with them and he came to us. The pump and injectors were already installed, along with the coolant hoses and mini radiator for the supercharger. Is your truck FLEX FUEL?

No Flex for me. Also, I do not trust the crew at Mechanicsville to work on my truck. When I get dealership service , I take it to McGeorge in Henrico West End.
