Wondering who has added a supercharger and what your experience has been? Gas mileage? Is the Perfomance what you expected? Pulling a trailer? Pros vs cons?

I can't think of a single member on here with a 18+ supercharged yet. The 07-17 non-FFV guys seem to be happy. Mixed feedback from those with FFV trucks.

Nope, let us know if you find one... only one allegedly is Sparks Toyota in South Carolina. Ask around your local area if any Toyota dealers also sell Unichip because that might be the only tuning option for 2018+ at the moment.

I picked up mpg with my blower 1.5 I believe. Non Flex fuel. Toyota flash on pcm. Tows fine, plenty of power. Fun to drive. Also did 4.88s and 37s at same time. Its alot of $ but It's also alot of fun. I've ran mine for around 20k miles without issue.

4.88s were all that was available when I did my gears. To be honest I wonder about the 5.29s since release but rpm and performance are right where I'd expect them to be w 4.88. I would be concerned about longevity with the 5.29. Less teeth etc.

Overall very happy with my set up. Custom tuning is next for me...just need to track down some stock rims so I can fit on the dyno

The previous owner of my Tundra had his S/C installed at AutoNation Toyoya of South Austin. I get almost 18mpg on the highway at 70 and roughly 14 in the city if I keep my foot out of it, but I love wasting Chargers so I'm usually closer to 13. I will never own another Tundra without a S/C, it's that much of a difference. Tows nicely and very stable as compared to my old Silverado.

From what I understand, and please correct me if I'm wrong, Whipple uses the engine oil to lubricate their's and Magnusson has a separate stand alone oil supply, thereby reducing contaminants.

Whipple has been making quality SC's for quite some time now. I expect the Tundra to be the same.

The Whipple for the 5.7L is still in pre-production phase.

I dont believe a stock block can handle much more then what the mag will feed into it.

So in turn what your saying is...if I go with the magnuson, stay away from the smaller pully?

I'm no expert that's for sure, I do run the udr pulley on my mag trd unit. I see around 9lbs of boost max. Whipple makes really nice units I have experiance on different Ford products (03 cobra and several lightning trucks) no doubt they could make more power then the mag but I dont think the stock block can handle. @dirtydeeds would be able to give more intelligent information!

I’ve seen a Harrop supercharger make 517ish to the wheel on a tundra! The 2650 tvs are rather efficient!

The addl boost from under drive pulleys are where I have read about folks running into issues. Usually what goes with a under drive pulley is an added desire to run the shit out of the truck to include lifts, big tires and wheels, etc. The bottom end is stout but isn’t forged. It all adds up.

A mag blower is the same unit as the TRD (mag made them). Toyota never offered headers and pulleys for a reason. Rather Toyota would void the warranty for those parts. Tells me they knew the TRD SC was about all the stock engine can reliably handle.

It becomes an equation of risk.
