When I floor it, my boost is all over the place. Peak boost is pretty consistent, but from what I've heard it should sit at peak boost the instant you floor it, it shouldn't ramp up and it certainly shouldn't be everywhere. I'm at altitude so my peak boost is around 5.5psi, when I floor it it'll go 2, 3, 4, 3, 4, 5, 4, 3, etc. Should it not just hit 5.5 and stay there until I let off or it shifts?

And if not, is this a boost leak or something else?

What are you using to measure your boost?

more than I can list here
Either the gauge is bad, or there is a boost leak.

Got a $10 analog gauge off Amazon and the boost is solid at 5.x psi. The digital gauge I have is an innovate AFR/Boost gauge, so either it's updating so fast and seeing fluctuations due to the tube and sender geometry or is just jacked up, the peak boost it measures matches the analog gauge. I'll talk to innovate, my guess would be the analog needle just can't react enough to see any random blips from the hardware setup but the digital can and displays it without smoothing out the information.

Good catch, usually the cheapest option is to get another gauge and you've already figured this part out.

Anyone have a photo of where they spliced their T-fitting when installing their gauge?

Is there a reason to splice it? I just plugged straight into the boost port on the rear driver side, was that supposed to connect to something else?
