Subwoofer box

First off glad to be part of this forum. My question is I went from a 2015 Tundra doublecab to a 2019 crewmax and in the doublecab the speaker box was under the seat. I know I now have to go behind the back seat in the crewmax. so do I need to switch to shallow mount subs or can my Rockford R1 speakers fit?

 

Are you using the same box or looking for a new box for behind the seat?

 

I have a box from Fox Acoustics behind my seat and they take shallow subs. I have the Kicker 9" sub but an Alpine 10" shallow sub can also fit.

No I’m going to have to get a new box because the old box won’t fit.
I’ll look into that Fox Acoustics for a box thank you. I was hoping for a quick swap but wishful thinking lol.

 

Yeah, your original box will likely not fit behind the seat of a CM. I'm very happy with Fox Acoustics! I like that it's not lined with carpet, I feel it puts out better bass!

 

Ur best bet is to buy an enclosure for behind the rear seat. Fox acoustics makes a nice one, *********, tech12volts, jl stealth, Amazon and ebay have some as well, search crewmax enclosure, there are options. I just did alot of research a couple months ago until i ultimately built my own ported box for 2 12s. Because i wanted it loud lol
