You are topping out your suspension and potentially having your control arm hitting your coil spring, can you post pictures of the spacer you have?

So with those style spacers you are forcing your whole assembly downward, you are then topping everything out or "over extending" everything. This could cause your damage if ever fully drooped.

Are your control arms hitting your coil spring at all?

Well, it fully drops if i go over bumps too fast.....ill look closely for wear marks and post again. It drives perfectly straight, so i dont imagine i have any damage yet. This type of lift must be very common. I drive it pretty modestly, i dont drive fast over obstacles or rough terrain.

I cant have it banging like that, it sounds terrible, and will likely cause damage at some point. While i dont wheel my pickup a lot....i may at any given moment. Im not sure how to shoot you a pm.

Yeah it can cause some serious damage, I am glad we caught it before it got bad.

For a cheap easy fix I would recommend going with the Bilstein height adjustable front shocks so that way it is a "2 birds 1 stone" hit. You will replace your shocks with a nice comfortable riding shock and you will get your lift back. They are ride height adjustable by the spring perch being adjustable, simply move the "c-clip" up to the top to get the 2.5'' of front end lift and re assemble accordingly.

Here is a link to the shocks: http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com...ight-Adjustable-5100-Series-Shocks_p_128.html

If you are wanting to go out a little more then I would recommend the full BOSS front coilovers, they are fully ride height adjustable 1-3'' in the front end, also come pre- assembled here in house with brand new coil springs and shocks. What we did was paired up with the engineers at Eibach to build and valve the shock specifically to the weight of the Tundra, giving great ride quality and performance both on and off the road!!

Here is a link to the coilovers: http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com...for-2000-2006-Tundra00-07-Sequoia_p_1148.html

Let me know if you have any questions.

Question, so, if i use the shocks....does that eliminate the pucks i have on there now? Also, im imagining that those shocks simply limit extension? I wonder why they sell those pucks with no mention of the ramifications. While new struts and the pucks themselves were economic, the installation was quite expensive.

The shocks will get rid of the spacers you currently have, yes.

The Bilstein shocks are good for someone that is looking for a more aggressive stance without having this kind of issue along with improving ride quality. They will preload your factory coil spring down a little bit to increase lift ultimately reflecting on a little less up travel.

The truck sits exactly like i wanted it to. Again, will these shocks prevent over extension? Excuse me if you answered this already, and if they do...how is this accomplished mechanically. Im fixing this issue one time and im done, i must be absolutely sure of the fix or ill likely set the truck afire on one of my outings and hike out. Im actually pretty pissed at the shop that installed the pucks for not alerting me to this issue. When the truck is on the lift it would have been obvious to a blind man that something was wrong.

These shocks will help prevent the over extension that you are currently facing right now. The shock and coil spring setup will not be forced down like the current spacer is doing, these shocks are a "OE" style replacement that will just pre-load the coil spring to give your lift. One of the safest ways of achieving lift without going all out with a full coilover replacement.

I know this is a dead page but I just got some bistein 5100 shocks for my 2000 Toyota Tundra and I when I go over bumps at low speeds 10-25ish get a clunk (sounds like someone’s hitting my frame with a wrench) I don’t see a visible rub between the springs the the top by the ball joint and I can’t identify where it’s coming from the angles are good and all I compressed the stock spring im im not sure if that’s the problem if anyone knows why it clunks and or how to fix it please let me know it’s not a desprate need because it doesn’t seem to be causing damage but it’s super annoying driving over brick.

    Thank you
