    Hi!
Time to replace my struts (I know, ‘coilover shocks’). I’m going to do all 4 corners. Does anyone have a recommendation on what to buy? I’m leaning toward KYB or Bilstein, but they don’t seem to offer the spring-loaded front assembly. Is is a mistake not to replace the springs? I have 180k on a lightly used truck; not interested in lift, heavy weights or high speeds, just comfort on the highway and some damping on these sucky New England backroads. Would like some feedback before I plow into this! Thanks!

I have used the Bilsteins and the Monroe Quick Struts... each for a different purpose but very happy with both...

I read many recommendations here on the Bilsteins before going that route. General consensus is Bilstein 4600's if you don't need/want the lift option, 5100's if you might want to level the front or accommodate a small lift in the rear at some point. I went for the 5100's and I'm very happy with the choice, my truck is a 2WD daily driver and the 5100's are a slightly firm/compliant (not harsh) upgrade from the stock non-Bilstein OEM coilovers/shocks it replaced.
I swapped my old coil springs onto the front's, mine seemed to be in good shape.
