Started to do a full AT fluid drain/fill and when I started by loosing all bolts, two are at issue. The fill plug is beginning to strip but came loose, so minor in the grand scheme. However the check plug (or bolt?) that takes the 5mm Allen / T-30 star bit was semi-stripped and went full round while trying to loosen it. Called the dealership before continuing and they can’t find that part anywhere in-state or surrounding.

    1) anyone know the part number and another, fast option to acquire it? Autozone/O’Reilly day its dealer only.

    2) when I get my hands on the new one, how do I get the seized one out? I’ve read “drill it out” but am interested in a little more detail.

Classic 2-hour max job will now be 4 days...

    Thanks!
