My 2003 Tundra stepside is making a noise when I drive it. It a barely audible "woomp, woomp, woomp sound. If I have the windows down I can't hear it. Windows up I can hear it. I was thinking it was maybe a wheel bearing, or my rear tires which were pretty worn. I got new tires but can still hear the new sound. The vehicle was in an accident recently. it got hit in the right rear quarter panel. The damage has been repaired, except for the right rear wheel which has a gouge in it. I am not much of a mechanic, and would appreciate any help. Thanks from a new club member.

what you describe seems like sound from rotation/mass, so wheels/tire or related (wheel bearing). If the rim was damaged, it could be bent and that could certainly make that noise if it was no longer true and straight. Or it could be something as easy as the tires/wheels needing to be rebalanced. Could have lost wheel weights during the hit of the accident.

I agree with @frichco228 on this one. Wheel/axle bent or wheel bearing.
