I'm thinking of some new shoes for my lady, what sort of market have you guys seen out there for the stock TRD rubber? What do think I could reasonably expect to get for a set with less than 1k miles on them? Before I commit to a set of 295 Ridge Grapplers I'd like to have an idea of what it will cost me after the "old tire rebate".

McReef, for TRD PRO wheels and tires in Houston/Dallas/San Antonio/Austin Craigslist, I've seen $1,000 for 5,000 miles and no TPMS to $2,000 for immediate take offs with TPMS and $500 all day long for take offs. If there is a Discount Tire nearby (or equivalent national tire chain), give them a call. They do take good tires in on trade.

Thanks guys, that gives me something to go on. Should defray the cost to a reasonable level, new shoes are on order...

I'm also looking at wheels and tires myself. And I haven't even gotten my pro yet. I didn't know discount tire does credit towards new. That's good to know. I'll have to double check with my local discount tire. Been needing to go get a quote from the anyway. Can't locate exactly what I want in there site.

Toytec level and diff drop, Cooper STT Pro Tires, TRD Pro Grill, blacked out, debadged.
if you haven't picked up your truck yet, the dealership may be willing to give you a credit towards new tires.

For reference, though I'm not sure how much this varies depending on area, the best I could find in my area is 343 installed.

I agree with you OP (McReef), I think it does. I saw on one of the forums yesterday that a member got $600 for his brand new take off TRD PRO Michelin tires alone. I picked up a set of TRD 18" wheels with TPMS and Michelin LTX A/T2 tires with less than 400 miles on them for $1,150. They look brand new. Having them installed later today. Another data point for you...

Just got a quote from discount tire
    Cooper ST Maxx 295/70/18
    Method Grid titanium 18x9
    Black wheel locks
    $2500 with install and certificates
I know they price match so I should be able to drop the price a little.
    Hmm tempting.
Also offered me $200 for the Michelin tires, that's not happening. :anonymous:

I got my tires for $260 each. Found it on the internet with free shipping and had Americas Tire match it.

Oh and if you're going this route, you might think about just getting a set of 5 and doing a 5 wheel rotation. With that size your stock spare is useless.

A little of this and a little of that.
Speaking of spares, Joon, is there room enough under the truck to fit a 295/70/?? in the stock location?

Yes. I have STT Pro 295/70/18. It's a little tight and it won't pull up all the way flush, but it gets in there pretty good. It will sit flush if you remove the brackets but I think that's unnecessary. Plus I'm too lazy. Only thing you might have to be careful is if you have coach builder shackles, it might rub. I have toytec shackles and it clears nicely.

Right, totally overlooked that little detail. I've got the CB shackles on their way...
Guess I need to start looking at spare racks now. Down the rabbit hole we go...
