What is the best air intake system or is it all personal preference without breaking the bank. But also if your changing the intake of air do you have to compensate that with a hotter spark ?

Mostly for sound. I have Volant, but TRD and S&B seem the most popular

With all my research and reviews I read I went with S&B. IMHO performance and economy is a definite improvement over the stock and even the TRD CAI.

Stock is already a cold air intake.

back in the day a vehicles ecu was dumb and slow. Intake manufacturers capitalized on this fact by changing the way the air goes thru the mass air meter. The ecu would make adjustments based on a false lower load value which would make power.

our ecu is fast and smart. And adaptive, it learns. When it sees these ‘false values’ it realizes they’re false by cross referencing other sensors. Sometimes it runs worse as a result. Most don’t. But some do.

    you’re better off doing

    stock air box mod
    Throttle body coolant bypass mod
    Catback exhaust
    Gearing
    Tuner

What is the air box mod?

What is the benefit of the throttle body coolant bypass mod?

I already have an excellent BAMuffler catback exhaust, 4:30 gear, dry AFE filter and a tune.
